Jewell E Son 18/07/2017 18:54The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. My room was well appointed; water pressure was good; bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was standard. There is an Applebys and Logans Roadhouse in walking distance. The parking was well lit. I would definitely use this facility again.

WSW64on 23/06/2017 20:01This HIE is in a great location. It's close to most all of the food and shopping options in Waycross, along with being on the main roads to Brunswick and Jacksonville. The A/C didn't work in my room, but the maintenance folks quickly took care of it. I had no more issues with it after that. I have truly never tried to deal with a more complicated television in my life. I couldn't find any instructions on how to operate the remote, and I couldn't operate the remote without it talking back to me every time I pressed a button. I felt like I was having an argument with Siri every night.

TedinTakpkon 17/05/2017 18:26Waycross is kind of a bump on the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp, so it's not brimming with five-star properties. This hotel was just fine but had nothing remarkable or outstanding to mention. The staff was fine, the location great if you have business in town. The breakfast is standard far out of a can or jar. We encountered a couple of small maintenance issues that should have been addressed before a new guest arrived, but they were well and expeditiously addressed. We stayed in the "suite" part of Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and it's a good thing. The "suite" consisted of a tad more space with a couch in it. Still, it was a pretty teeny, tiny room. Made us wonder what a regular double would have been like.
Considering what appear to be the alternatives in town, this is a perfectly fine place to stay. Just don't expect the Ritz. That's the old movie theater -- now a performance venue -- in town.
By the way, the Okefenokee Swamp Park visit was great. It's a few miles out of town and worth a stop. No problem finding gators there, and the setting is right out a Humphrey Bogart African Queen set.
Would stay here again
fivesolasturneron 14/05/2017 01:17Found this place to be clean, quiet, and acceptable in all categories. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was pretty much standard fare but the dining area was clean and a little larger than usual. Will stay here on my next visit.
Nice Place, Great Service
Gregory Hon 13/03/2017 21:10We only stayed one night, but our reception at the front desk was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The real treat was Ms Vern! She was most hospitable and had a delicious breakfast prepared for us. The buffet was bountiful, well kept and organized. Ms.Vern checked to be sure we had everything we needed. MMM... those cinnamon rolls were delicious!
