What People are saying

Good hotel

drad12872on 16/07/2017 14:07

Nice hotel, very clean and kept up well. Had a small problem getting into my room, staff was more than helpful. A little pricy regular price for Richmond IN. IMO. Good food, small menu. Small pool. Grounds are kept up very well. I've stayed at other hotels in Richmond, this is the nicest, cleanest I have seen. Beds very comfortable and the rooms air/ heat unit was really good and easy to use. Very modern. Big refrigerator and micro in the room. No cheap coffee maker, Keurig. Good coffee. Very satisfied with my stay.

What do you mean Hampton Inn sold out???

ontherdagainon 02/07/2017 07:53

Every time I drive west and stop in Indiana, the Hampton inns are sold out. However the Holiday Inn was avail and is fairly new. I remember our last trip to Indiana and the same thing happened and that Holiday Inn turned out to be very nice. Decided to just risk it and SO glad we did! Holiday Inns from IN to Colorado are just so much better than what we have come to expect in the northeast. The hotel has a real lobby, and the lobby bathrooms were sparkling. POor Cassidy, we drove her crazy with our requests and wants and she never broke a smile or even rolled her eyes. She patiently let us sample rooms until hitting pay dirt - third room. The hotel was just so clean and the staff so courteous. I'm sure much has to to do with Indiana courtesy, but we really were happy here. The rooms were spotless, bed just right, bathroom clean and no funny noises or water that keeps running. We sleep very well. Next morning we ate breakfast and the server was pleasant, accommodating and enkyed eggs, sausage and potatoes. Seriously, many of us that rack up miles driving across the great USA know that so many of these hotels/motels can be creepy enough for us to just keep driving and not stop. I admit it, I'm a room snob. I don't generally stay at holiday inns or hamltons when in a city, but I have to tell you with full confidence that you can pull over, ask for Cassidy and get a clean room, proper mattress and clean, not torn linens and a hot breakfast to boot. We drove from Philly to NM and we were three for three on hotels this trip. That's 1900 miles of driving and each hotel on this trip was a winner. Please trust me and if you find yourself on route 70, 44 and 40 please don't think twice about staying at the places I reviewed from is trip. In fact, trip advisor should make a category for people driving coast to coast and generally stay at Omnis, four seasons, fairmonts etc and highlight these hotels. That would be a tremendous help. I was so thrilled to go 3for 3 with hotels and not one bad one to boot that I'm sitting here writing on each and every one.

Clean and cheery

The lobby was bright and very clean. I was pleased with the spacious accommodations. Room had a frig and microwave. Bathroom and entire room was wonderfully clean and bright! No complimentary breakfast because of the restaurant. Great hours for pool and fitness center.

Super staff!

At midnight, my 90 year old mother decided that she was too tired for the last hour of our 10 hour drive home, so, with my fingers crossed, I pulled into the lot. The night desk clerk was extremely helpful, cheerful, and personable, and lined us up with the last open room. The room was clean and did not feel cramped at all. The lobby and restaurant area were both inviting, and the breakfast was cooked to order. I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn for awhile and this was a great re-acquaintance.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights while visiting relatives. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out was easy and quick. Every employee seemed time have a smile for us. Would definitely stay again!
