In need of cleaning and upgrades
Helen711on 22/05/2017 00:18My husband and I stayed in a ground level room 2 nights. The sheets and sink were clean, but that was it. The toilet hadn't been scrubbed in weeks, the tops of high items in the room, like the mirror and headboards, were covered with dust and cobwebs, as were the lampshades. There were dead flies on the sink and iron burn marks on the worn carpet. The room needs a new coat of paint.
The second night a group of young men were above us and we ran the fan on the A/C all night to mask the noise. An old white car with multiple flat tires and covered in mold and mildew was parked in a spot in front right in the middle. Don't stay here unless you're desperate.

Hotel of last resort
Bill Hon 01/12/2015 15:10This is a dirty, moldy, nasty hotel. The heater rattled and keep us awake until we finally turned it off. Mold in the bathroom let us know its never cleaned. The owners may be from a third world county but the guests are not. Louisville has limited hotel room so there's not many options. I would avoid the Home Gate Inn if at all possible.
Seek other options - unless forced or low expectations
LSUTravelleron 02/09/2014 04:23Stayed here for a MS State game, wish we'd have looked harder for another place. It's close to campus, there is ample parking and the price is cheap - only positives. Beds uncomfortable, room not especially clean, and felt a little nervous about my vehicle in the lot.
I would find another place to stay
RojoGrayon 31/08/2014 03:20Owner is rude, the lobby has an Odor, actually all the hotel has an odor. There is no decor, I was very diss appointed, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, 204 nights a year and this has been my worst so far.
