Roaches roaches roaches

The roaches are colonized even in the dam bathroom OMG OMG i literally hate this place im calling for the inspector, the carpet and mattresses are disgusting, the grounds are as well, even my poor dogs are in disgust I've never seen anything like it. I had to literally scrub my room with gloves stuff was built up on around kitchen sink and bathroom sinks while cleaning this brownish goo i got sick and vomited i like had to turn my head to clean i couldn't take the site. People on a daily cursing and fight outside your door a few times I've taken my dogs in the bathroom for fear of gun shots outside. Management will kick out some bad ones and the following day bring in more to start where the others left off. Its hard to leave with pets because of the vicious pay cycle. I literally hate this place. They've changed the name to Home Stay with just 22 dam channels mostly sports this is the most god awful i cannot stress it enough. It is now 2:07 am and I'm killing roaches again and now writing this report.

It is what it is

This is an extended stay type hotel with the lowest prices in the area. It attracts construction workers, and other people normally found in extended stays. There are children and families, too.
I have never figured out the schedule, if any, for room cleaning. I have seen residents going to the office to pick up towels, linen, toilet paper, and taking out their own trash.
The weekends, depending on which area of the hotel you're room is located you're staying, can be quiet to noisy. There is also a active train track and a nearby hospital, both of which contribute to the noise.
There was always plenty of hot water, and plates, dishes, silverware, microwave, cook top, mini-fridge, and Wi-fi. At this time, the wi-fi is very slow, about .51 mbps download speed and upload speed of .64 mbps.

Where do I start?

Gary Won 13/08/2013 04:16

Where I start is with the traffic. It appears they've closed down an exit to the hotel, and now you have to get off on a side road, then take a one way bridge to the hotel. One of those one way bridges with a red light where one side of the bridge lines up with traffic, you wait 5-10 minutes then you see all the traffic that has lined up on the other side come past. You do this every time you come and go from the hotel. Then, when you get across the bridge and arrive at the hotel, there's no clear cut place to turn into the hotel. The normal driveway has been done away with due to construction. So you're hanging out there, on the road, with 5-10 minutes worth of impatient traffic behind you, and no clear cut place to turn (the hotel is on your left). I, like many before me, cut through a dirt field. You can tell how many people have tried to figure out where to go by how many dirt roads have been driven into that field. There is actually a little makeshift road, but there's no way to know that, especially with the pressure of all that traffic. Then, even when you do figure out where it is you need to go, there's going to be a massive line of traffic blocking you, waiting to cross the bridge the other way. So if they don't let you in, you're blocking traffic, which is remaining on the bridge waiting, and no one is going anywhere. At some point you may have to just keep going, go all the way to the end of the line of traffic, and do a u turn at the back of the line, then start waiting again. Then when you arrive there's the two liter bottles of almost empty soda packed with cigarette butts. There's old cars that obviously don't run that have sat there forever. And there seems to be a crew of employees who are oblivious there is anything wrong. I actually asked for a smoking room, because after a night at the club, sometimes I want to smoke. They said there were no smoking rooms available. Got in the room, there's cigarette burns all throughout the carpet and it smelled like a very lame attempt to cover up the cigarette smoke. The pillow was way too thin, I couldn't sleep on it. I went to get ice, they don't have ice. I called to get a wake up call, they don't do wake up calls. They are a weekly place trying to advertise as a nightly place. Throw me a bone and give me a wake up call. I tried to get a soda, they have no soda machine. I am not lying here folks.

Scary

We had a reservation so we turned up there and the guy said that they were full, despite the fact that we had already paid for our room. So we got a refund. It sounds annoying but actually we were very grateful because at 4pm in the afternoon the desk clerk was behind his bullet-proof glass - already having locked the office for safety. The place was crowded with long-termers who mainly looked pretty rough and scary. We were happy to be out of there!
