Perfect Cape Cod Inn
John Hon 13/09/2016 21:15The Honeysuckle Hill Inn hits the perfect sweet spot between charm, warm personal service, wonderful food, location and cost. The inn itself is the perfect seaside mix of casual comfort and historic character inn goers seek. The grounds have several seating areas for groups or private relaxation; there are beautiful gardens and tall trees for shade and privacy. Innkeepers Nancy and Rick are gracious, always willing to share their Cape experience and knowledge -- and its was always spot on. They really made our 5 day stay memorable. The HHI isn't located in the center of a town, I think that's a real plus. A really good Italian restaurant is located just minutes away and the town of Barnstable with five more dinning options is minutes away in the other direction. The central location make trips to all the Cape towns easy. There is so much to see and do on the Cape, we need to go back to see more --- we will definitely return to the Honeysuckle Hill Inn.
Fabulous find on the Cape!
Helsduxon 02/09/2016 20:54We had a lovely week at Nancy and Rick's wonderful inn. They are fantastic hosts - nothing was too much trouble from the tasty breakfasts (accommodating a gluten free option - thank you!) to the beach chairs, towels and umbrella which we were able to borrow - extra touches like this are what makes this a special place! Such a comfortable and relaxing place to stay, we cannot fault it. Great recommendations of places to visit on the Cape too. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again Helen and Nick.
What a great find!! Highly recommend this gem.
mdouyard61on 21/08/2016 23:41Quaint & cozy Cape Cod Inn. Nancy and Rick are terrific people and made us feel welcome. Very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing! I would challenge you to find a better breakfast anywhere on the Cape, restaurants included. BTW, we got engaged while we were there! Very happy that we found Honeysuckle Hill. Loved everything about it. We will be back!
Charming Historic B&B on Scenic Route 6A, Cape Cod
Hullonian1953on 11/08/2016 00:37My husband and I stayed at Honeysuckle Hill for a weekend wedding on the Cape. The inn, built in 1810, is set back from the road at the end of a long driveway and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a cool screen porch out front and a hot tub and sitting area around the back. The guest living room and the breakfast room are both very attractive with interesting artwork and decorations. Unlike other B&B's we have seen, Honeysuckle Hill is bright and airy rather than dark and stuffy. The innkeepers, Rick and Nancy, have found a way to preserve the antiquity without sacrificing comfort. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the lush green lawn. It was spacious with a sitting area, a mini-refrigerator stocked with complimentary water and soft drinks, and lots of storage and counter space. The bath featured a marble shower, artisan soaps, a basket of incidentals, and interesting decorative touches like a design painted on the front of the vanity and curtain tie-backs made of rope and seashells. The insides of the drawers in the bedroom also had an ocean design painted along the edges. Rick and Nancy were very accommodating, and prepared really delicious breakfasts along with fresh breads or muffins each morning. I especially enjoyed their apple pancakes with Irish sausage. I loved that they remembered I wanted milk with my tea without my having to ask. West Barnstable, the inn's location, is quite central. Minutes to the Cape's main highway, Route 6, and along a historic stretch of backroad lined with antique stores, shops and restaurants. It's about a five minute drive to Sandy Neck Beach with it's hiking paths and natural grass marshes. We really enjoyed our visit and we would definitely stay there again.
