City break in Cologne
Jeffrey Pon 12/04/2017 20:14This is a good hotel ,and the close to the city centre. The hotel is just a five minute walk from the train station so no need for taxis to get anywhere.
The rooms are comfortable and the ones overlooking the courtyard are nice and quiet.
The bar and restaurant is run independently so you can't charge to your room, they have a great selection of drinks and the evening food was excellent but there are so many great restaurants along the river I would recommend going out. They had a gym but don't bother, just two machines that are not really worth using. There is a great gym just up the road if you want to workout.
So to sum up a good value hotel close to the Cathedral and everything this city has on offer. Would definitely stay again.
Clean and tidy, smells like stale smoke
forensic93on 04/03/2017 22:07The hotel and so clean and tidy! The rooms were big, clean and well equipt. There are no toiletries such as shampoo or soap so you will need to bring that with you if staying here. Beds are okay comfort wise.
The hotel is well located to the centre and a close walk from the station. Hotel staff are also very friendly.
It does small like stale smoke in the hallways! Not so much in the rooms but you can still smell it a tiny bit.
There is also a restaurant inside the hotel which serves breakfast and dinner. Not sure about lunch though.

986annewon 15/12/2016 10:35The hotel is in a good location with attractions in easy reach in all directions. The room was modern, spacious and airy with French doors opening on to a lovely courtyard. However, the bath towels are awful and it's like getting dried with bedsheets! With restrictions on liquids when flying these days it was disappointing that the only toiletries offered was liquid soap, fortunately there is a supermarket nearby. Disappointing to return to the room late afternoon each day and it hadn't been done. The reception staff were pleasant but not overly welcoming! But overall a pleasant stay.
Cologne for Christmas fair
Stephen Jon 09/12/2016 17:34Reasonably well placed hotel about 15 minutes walk from Cathedral. Room was large but peculiarly had one easy chair only which was very heavy and hard to move. Sleep was only average as our room was near uncarpeted staircase and we were woken by sound of other guests on stairs.
Reception service was efficient but unsmiling apart from one male staff member who provided kettle as there was none in room.

The wlan had problems on the upper floor the day I checked out, most likely temporarily but...
Calm area with walking distance to the railway station.
The only concern was that they noted your credit card number on a settle at check in, I really hope the document with my credit card number was destroyed when I checked out (I forgot to ask).
