Recently went on a girl's party trip with my sister and stayed at this Hostel.
Upon arrival the hostel is in a great location if you're in Ibiza to party (like we were). It is a road away from the main strip and the vibe is just really buzzing. It's a 30 second walk from a row of restaurants which are really cheap and have standard food which was handy. Hostel is directly next door to a tattoo shop too if you're wanting one!
The hostel itself is split up into 2 separate buildings across the road from each other. There's one building with some rooms in and the reception and the pool on the roof. There is then a block of more rooms across the street which is where we stayed. The reception had air con which was very nice and has free computers to use. The receptionists were friendly but weren't very helpful for the whole of our trip. They also sell €1 big bottles of cold water for rooms in the lobby which was great, but due to the heat as soon as you got to your hot room it wouldn't be cold anymore!
These rooms do not have air con. You can rent a fan for €3 a night which is what we did but the rooms are so small and stuffy that it just circulates hot air and didn't have much use. It stated you could rent air con for I think €9 a night, but our room had no facility for air con so I presume they would move you to a different room if you paid for this.
The room itself was tiny, I guess it's what you'd expect for a hostel but it was small. Our toilet was so small that you couldn't put your feet down in front of the toilet because the shower was in such close proximity. You had to sit sideways on the toilet to use it! The shower head was broken so had to use it as a handheld one for the whole week which was inconvenient.
The pool area was nice and clean and had a bar with free wifi. Music playing has good vibes.
We asked them to hold our suitcases on the last day due to a late flight and we had to pay for a locker to store them in.
The rooms were unbelievably stuffy, couldn't get a full night's sleep because it was so hot and the fan is rubbish. Toilet was so stuffy because it was so small and felt like you couldn't breath in the room.
Overall wouldn't stay again, horrible small stuffy rooms and unhelpful staff. Cleaners came once and all they did was change beds. Didn't top up toilet roll or anything we had to go to reception 3 times to go get some more. And they would only give us a roll at a time! Wouldn't stay again.
So I stayed here for a week. After the first clean from the maids I noticed I was short of some money, I thought I had just spent a little too much so didn't think much of it. Came back 2 days later after the second clean and I had noticed I was short of money again!!! The maids had stole around 250 euros from out of my bag. On my second to last day I decided to go change some of my English pounds so I had some money to go out.. Again I checked my bag and £70 had been taken out of my wallet. Be really careful with this place I do not recommend staying here AT ALL.
OK I blessed Casamaria Apartments 2400+views now focus is on their sister hostal. Bonus u have ur own key card entrance to a small block 5\6 floors, now this can be hard
On the calves when home coming after a night out or getting cases up but hey we all need a workout lol. Ask for a balcony room I stayed on floor 4, all the facilities at Casamaria are available, access to rooftop pool use of /24hrs restaurant 1ltr water 1euro 5 minutes away from the bus station 5 minutes walk from the strip located on a quiet Road about to book within the next two weeks ooi oi oi
I am not writing this review to discredit this hostal, but to inform any one thinking about staying here.
First of all, the location and price was excellent if you are on a budget. I was on a budget since i came to ibiza for a whole month. The only problem is that this place is so loud its hard to get sleep. They do not offer A/C or fan except fan's for rental. I had a room with a balcony, and this was good and bad. Good if u like to chill in the balcony and enjoy the view, but outside noise was intolerable.
The hotel staff was super nice and the cleaning lady was awesome, except the philipino bar tender kept on hitting on my wife and trying to out on the moves on here when ever i was not around. It was pretty funny because my wife told me everything he was doing and I have to say, the guy has no game.
This is in a great spot of Sant Antoni and shares the facilities with Casa Maria which is just across the road and has the rooftop pool. Stayed here in Aug '14, Free wifi but not available in the rooms, only the rooftop and reception lobby. There were a few unexpected add-ons (fan cost 4 euro per night) and (air-con 9 euros per night) which are pretty vital in summer. Staff made it clear that we would have to pay for towels if there was make-up wiped on them (don't know how strict they are at enforcing it, we didn't pay extra). Also, room cleaning is only every other day. For the price, it's not bad, just be aware of the add-ons. Overall had great holiday in Ibiza.
