Small hotel with good restaurant and perfect view to the river
Thomas Mon 17/03/2017 21:41In the south western part of the Netherlands you can find this small hotel directly at the street.Its between two small villages.The other side of the hotel looks to the river Maas. The rooms are spacios and quiet. The restaurant has great food with a touch of high cuisine.
Perfekt suite, nice view but average food
Michael_Sibylleon 04/10/2016 09:25We went there on a weekend and had a dinner in the evening. The junior suite was really great and the balcony had a great view on the river. The dinner was not what we expected. It was the regional products menu, but the starter from goat cheese was dry and looked like a deepfreeze supermarket product. The steak in the main course was over cooked. In generel I missed some spices. My wife put something a la carte and that was really nice. The dessert at the end was fantastic, so I was left with mixed feelings. The service was also excellent, so we will come back to try the food again for a final review.
Room with a beautiful view
David Oon 01/09/2016 08:06We initially chose this hotel because it is relatively close to the War museum at Overloon which we planned to visit.
On our first night we dined in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed a 4 course 'regional menu' of fine dining. We were fortunate that we were blessed with beautiful weather enabling us to enjoy our meal on the terrace watching the sun go down. Perfect.
Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the river and the benefit of the air conditioning given the heat wave was priceless. Relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the beautiful view over the river Maas and surrounding countryside is a tonic to be savoured.
The hotel is also adjacent to a national park which was great to cycle around, we even saw deer.
More than anything though the customer service experience we received was exceptional; on check out we left some important items in our room which Monique and team made sure were repatriated back to us the following day -even though we'd moved on to Germany!

Even as I had bad weather and a flooded Maas (quite impressive scenery during the delicious breakfast) everything was excellent. And on top of that a very helpful support for my special requirements ... lack of brain.

Great food in nice surroundings
frerkyon 15/04/2016 23:00We went there on a Weekend and had a romantic dinner included. The room was really nice the balcony with a great view. Peaceful and quiet. The dinner was really good, too. 6 courses and for a reasonable Price.
