The furnishings are poor quality and from the 70's era and are covered in dust. Room was on the small side but did contain a fridge and tv which were both plugged in to the same extension lead. Another extension lead was used for the bedside lamps and left in a precarious position which leads one to say that safety not their top priority. Bathroom was poor as were the black towels which were anything but fluffy!
Breakfast was adequate.
Would not use again or recommend. This hotel gives Logis a bad name.
Logis should drop this hotel
mtrower109on 31/07/2016 21:50An odd location for a hotel – in a suburban street in a small town not that touristy. It was a one night stop-over en-route from Germany to England, but on reflection would have been better going back to the Ibis in Dinant used on the way out. Booked online from Logis website as looked quite reasonable but on arrival were soon disappointed by it. Proprietor quite friendly. The rooms are a throwback to the 70’s/80’s in décor and style, and so probably is some of the dust on the lights etc. There was a smell of diesel or other fuel throughout the hotel corridors and the whole place is just grubby. Were thinking about eating there and the owner advised about what was available – not all the items on the menu it turned out. My wife had mentioned a salad earlier and this was what we were going to be given. It seemed some of the other things were either unavailable or probably a microwave job. We didn’t fancy it and left. Breakfast was a reasonable choice but no-one else was there and I had to even find water for the kettle myself. The kettle and mugs for the drinks in the bedroom were in the bathroom! Didn’t fancy the look of the shower so gave it a miss. They must have a lot of incontinent guests as beds had plastic undersheets which made them very hot.
Would not use again or recommend to anyone – you are far better at an Ibis hotel.
Incredible Service
mdr5448on 26/02/2016 17:47The gentleman that checked us in, served us dinner, checked us out, etc. was wonderful! He is a true credit to the industry and this place. He immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. The room was clean, but somewhat outdated. There was an issue with the heating while we were there, so the room was pretty cold during the night. But there is a stocked mini fridge with very respectable prices. We chose to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, and were definitely not disappointed.
Quaint and friendly hotel and restaurant in Mersch
Patti Gon 02/01/2016 22:05What a delight to find this sweet place! Patrick the owner, is a wonderful host. Our accommodations were very comfortable and impeccably clean. The rooms come stocked with a little refrigerator stocked with beer, water and juice. We had rooms facing away from the street with a nice balcony and view of the grounds behind the building. We had the most lovely dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed the house specialties of the evening. Patrick was most helpful to us the next morning as it appeared we'd locked our keys in the car. He called our car rental agency for assistance and made sure we were well cared for. He saved the day!
Convenient hostel, better then average 2*
expat72on 29/09/2014 09:02This hostellerie is a minimum I need. Evaluating a 2* I would say "very good": quite good breakfast with wide range of cerealies, tea choice seemed to belong to 4*. The room maybe wasn't fantastic, but has enough level of comfort as hostels could offer and attract with their quality - price combination.
