Stayed in Alps Residency during independence day holidays.. Rooms are clean and awesome.. And hospitality was good.. And their complimentary buffet breakfast was superb.. My friends really enjoyed the stay. Will come once again for sure. Good work

Visited this hotel along with my friends on July 1 ,since my booking was declined by an famous star hotel due to over booking.
Travel Agency arranged this hotel as an alternate.we have reached there half minded fortunately everything was nice.

Rooms are very spacious,Hotel Staff's are really lovable,down to earth.Food was really awesome, particularly "mutton keema dosai" was excellent in taste.
Will be back again with my family.
Thank you once again for wonderful service.

It's one of the best hotel I have ever visited.located in the center of puducherry.Rooms are comfortable and spacious.
Bathrooms are very clean.
Really enjoyed the Buffet breakfast which is too tasty.
Tasted wonderful BG Chicken,their own recipe.
Staff's are really good.
Worth for my amount paid.
Nice hotel for friends group and family out.

I have already stay in Alps Residency. My last stay with Alps was March 1st week. Rooms are spacious and cleaned. we booked for 5 peoples but unfortunately 2 more friends joined with us. They charged extra person amount with some discounts with Extra mattress with pillows and sheets. we stayed 2 days House Keeping peoples given room service & rest rooms on daily basis..
Guest friendly staffs. We requested to arrange birthday cake @ night around 10.30pm for my friend. They arranged and given as surprise celebration @12.00Am.
Hotel have Bar with Restaurant in topmost 5th floor. Room service also provided.
Breakfast given as complimentary.. Foods excellent and delicious, Especially non veg sea foods are superb...
I strongly recommend to my friends and others.. Its nice place to stay with family and friends in Pondicherry....

Worst place to stay with Family

I booked this place via a travel agent and went there with my family(4 people including myself) and requested for 1 Flat with 2 rooms. When the online booking was made either through the fault of the travel agent or Alps Residency they booked 2 Flat with 2 rooms each. For a family of 4 in which universe will anyone stay in 4 separate rooms. Upon discovering the mix up, I requested Alps to give me 1 Flat with 2 rooms and refund the other.
Instead of owning up to the error the concierge mentioned that Alps have vacant Flats and for our comfort they have given us 2 Flat as complimentary. I did not appreciate that they were making a fool out of me and tried to reason with them however they stuck to their story that I was charged only 1 Flat cost. I eventually let it go since they weren’t going to do much about it and I booked for 1 night stay only.
Even if I can overlook the above issue there were so many other problems I like to highlight.
1- This apartment is “NOT IDEAL FOR FAMILY” as it looks very shady, They have a Bar on the 5th Floor.
2- The pictures advertised on the website of their rooms was definitely taken during the inauguration as they haven’t maintained it since.
3- My rooms weren’t cleaned. There were cigarettes on the balcony and the toilets haven’t been scrubbed for years.(Certainly they rented this place for Bachelors or Party goes or shady business type of people)
4- Lastly, during my Check out – The concierge requested me not to give bad rating for Alps.

The only good thing they did was offer me late check out, this was the only reason I chose this place. I didn’t have a pleasant experience and would like to warn others of losing face as I did.
