Nice, could be better
N Con 17/10/2016 19:56The room is quite large, but it needs some refreshing. Newer carpets for example. The shower head was broken. I had drinks often in the restaurant. Service is great, and its pleasant to sit there and work.
Unfortunately WiFi in the restaurant as well as in my room was quite weak, at times it did not work.
Not good
Tomas Bon 16/03/2015 15:14This hotel is presenting nice room photos in web sites, but the reality is different. We stayd in a small double room with dirty carpet and walls. The towels had a smell of smoke. Thanks god, bedding was clean.
OK but nothing special

The hotel is on its own; there is nothing close, so you either have a long walk or you need to take the car. Although there is plenty of parking, it would be tight to get in and out of if cars were parked both sides.
The reception staff were friendly enough; my rusty German was adequate to check in, but they also spoke enough English for my wife.
The room was at the back of the hotel, which is built into the cliff, so although it was on the first floor it was virtually ground level outside, and the only view was of the cliff. This did at least mean there was no road or rail noise - the hotel stands on the main road and the railway is on the other side.
The room was small though clean and comfortable. We did find that the Wi-Fi slowed down later in the evening and wouldn't work in the morning. In common with most German hotels, there were no tea/coffee making facilities.
We had dinner in the restaurant, which could best be described as Spartan. The food was decent enough, though the liberal dousing of butter on the spinach left it too salty for my taste. The starter was big enough for a main course. Service however became increasingly slow and we found it difficult to catch the attention of the staff.
In the morning, breakfast in the breakfast room - again an adequate continental breakfast but nothing out of the ordinary.
All in all, nothing actually wrong with the hotel, but just nothing to tempt me back.
Large room but dated
JoeLafiveson 25/07/2014 22:46Our room was a large apartment style room which was quite dated but clean. There are railroad tracks across the street but we didn't have a real problem with noise in the late hours. The staff was friendly
