What People are saying

Budget Minded Hotel / Horrible

Mike Son 04/02/2016 17:15

To be honest, I don't stay in hotels like this very often. I don't know the difference between a one star and a two star hotel. To me I can't imagine much worse unless it is a bus station. A travel agent that I will never use again in my life booked this for me.

I was on the first floor and the block out drapes didn't cover the entire window. I had to decide which part of the room people in the parking lot could look in to see. The walls were extremely thin and you could hear voices like they were next to you. If people smoked in the rooms next door you could smell it as if they were smoking on the end of your bed.

The room doors take some effort to close without huge banging. So since it is always new people coming and going everyday that don't know how to shut the door quietly they would bang them and bang them in an effort to close the door both from the inside and the hallway.

On the positive side it was pretty clean. Aside for the unexplained splatter on the wall that remained there the entire 6 days of my stay it felt clean. It is hard to feel really clean when there are cigarette burns on the bathroom vanity.

I would never stay here again. My assumption is that the people who wrote positive reviews either work for the hotel or have extremely low standards. It is at best a one star hotel.

Budget hotel

This hotel is fine for the price , it`s a budget hotel clean with basic facilities. It is in a very good location for the Frankfurt Messe and main railway station. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance.

Good location and nice hotel

This is not a fancy hotel, but for the price an excellent deal. Located centrally at
Frankfurt West, it is well connected to all locations in Frankfurt. Rooms are very spacious and clean, beds perfectly ok. There are no thrills, but in many respects much better than the more fancy chains. Would be my first option next time.

Good budget hotel

The reviews for the hotel aren't too good, but I had a pleasant stay. The room was large and clean. It's not too far from a Metro station, so the location is pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone on a budget.

what's the point of star rating if this one gets three?

This is an average two star basic no frills hotel like you get them in the central station area. Actually it even smells like one of those. All in all it means: grumpy reception (why do you bother disturbing me phoning my relatives?), simple (cheap) breakfast, lousy rooms, awful decor. Actually we had to ask for another room because the first one on the ground floor in the backyard building (just next to the parking area) was unbearable and we usually accept most of what is offered to us. The interior, the amenities, handling, etc. all tells you that they want to save every penny possible on you. The water bottles are from the Lidl discounter next door, you get a kitchen but no tools or pans, you only get the oldest towels they can find and of course, the breakfast is from Lidl, too. I also have seen more cleaner rooms, to be honest but to be fair, it's not disgusting (but I'm not picky). Don't expect any change for the better, these people lack any sense of quality.

What p***es off most: they charge you 85 EUR a night! Usually, you expect value for money but this is simply spoken a rip-off since you can stay at very good hotels for less $$.

Make sure to take you keys with you. At times they deposit your room keys somewhere else and usually they don't ask for your name when you want your key.
