Unfit to be called a hotel

To start with, this is not a hotel. This is a disgrace! The place is disgustingly dirty. I will spare you the description of the filth. Dirty linen line the staircase from top to bottom for hours in the morning. The twin room is without a bathroom. There is a small sink with a tiny glass shelf which is tilted, thus unable to hold anything, and it is right next to the entrance door. There is a small shower cubicle in the middle of the room with not a single hook for hanging your towel. Dripping you have to go back to the silly sink to get your towel. The toilet has no sink to speak of. And wait for this – there is not one chair, let alone two, in the twin room, to rest your back after a day of sightseeing, and absolutely no water glasses. Appauling! Never go near the place even if they offer it for free.

Just for an emergency

I booked this hotel on last minute during carnaval... And I can say that it's just good if you are looking forward to make a quick nap and just go... It is not very clean or comfortable... A bit too basic.
I another hand the staff was incredibly helpful and kind... This can make u forget about the ugliness of the place

Just the job

I stayed here with 3 friends on a Sunday night in September. Booked a triple room on a search engine for around 110 euro. The room was perfect for our requirements, clean with en suite and ample towels. As we were traveling by motorcycle we were anxious that our bikes would be secure so I emailed the hotel before traveling to ensure secure parking. The owner told me to just pop into reception and he would open the garage. Well he went one better, as soon as we pulled up outside he was out and opening the garage. Once inside he could see we were well laden with gear so he didn't delay and just handed us our keys. On more than one occasion he went above and beyond to make us welcome, from giving my friend soft drinks to take to the room when he forgot his wallet with a simple "pay later " to providing us with somewhere to change into our bike gear after we'd checked out. As for location the hotel is very central being just a ten minute walk from the old town. All in all a very pleasant experience from this simple yet honest hotel. Highly recommended 👍

Fantastic value, amazing, friendly staff.

Visited as a couple for 3 nights in August 2015, and found it to be the perfect base for our daily trips out for touristy stuff. The free breakfast is quite good, with plenty of choice, and the staff are attentive and friendly throughout breakfast. We were the only English speaking guests but were made to feel very welcome at all times, and never felt self conscious. Free wifi never dropped out once. The TV is all German obviously, and as our German isn't good we didn't really watch it but didn't find this annoying at all...we came to See Dusseldorf, not watch tv! The location is great, being close to Shadowstrasse, Koenigsallee, and other shopping hotspots, and it's not too far to Altstadt. We aren't the most athletic of people but had no problem walking to Old Town each night to enjoy the bars and restaurants. There are numerous Grocery stores, bakers, coffee bars, and fast food places right on the doorstep, and there is parking next door too. We experienced no noise at night from other guests or from the street below, even though our windows were open all night. They stored our luggage all day after we checked out, which was convenient, and the staff were as friendly and helpful as we checked out as they were during our stay. Can't recommend this hotel enough, both to couples and to families. Would definitely book again.

A large group of us stayed at this hotel for three nights. It's small, clean and very friendly. The staff (we only saw three) couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was included in the price and very good value and the rooms clean and tidy. Great value hotel in very good location.
