What People are saying

Clean rooms

Stayed a week in hotel Amor. The view to park promised a bit too much for a first floor room. Anyway, clean rooms, kind service, close to beach (only 2 pcs of sea urchins spottes...however, bought protective swimming shoes as you never know). A bit far (if walked from the ferry in 36C...)...well it us manageable but would be great if was closer. Breakfast choises ok, coffee was extremely bad from the automat... In summary, good choise and great place to stay for a week. Recommended.

Nice Friendly Hotel

Visited the Amor for a week in early June with my partner. Nice hotel, room had good facilities and sea views with balcony, it was an easy fifteen minute walk into the town of Supertar with bus connections to other parts of the island. Hotel had a good location and beach nearby, but extra charge of £4 per day to use sunbed. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean, not sure it deserved 4 star rating and food can only be described as adequate. Would stay there again and loved the island.

Wonderful location, far from perfect experience

Andrej Don 17/05/2017 22:26

I am here with my dad for a short 6 day break with my dad who loves the country (Yugoslavia when he was younger) and wanted to revisit the sights he remembers.
Firstly, I'd like to say that we rented a car, and our booking was under Villa Vela Luka rather than Amor Hotel, which made finding it tricky! Hotel Amor is made up of many different building, each with a unique name.

The buildings and villas are all located close to the stunning pebble beach, and there is a tennis court, pool, and restaurant. What I would say is that:

1. The pool is very small, particularly considering the amount of guests the hotel must have in peak season.
2. The tennis court is really dilapidated and could do with a refurb.
3. The restaurant is very functional, and feels a bit like a canteen. The breakfast is great (which was included) -a huge choice of hot & cold stuff.

What really impacted our stay negatively is:

There is very poor lighting between the building, and it is very hard to see where you are going. The routes are made even more precarious by having steps on the path which you can't see in the dark, hosepipes to water the lush gardens are randomly crossing the path to trip over, and often there are large gaps between the paving stones which are easy to stumble over or twist an ankle.

I bring this up because my father, going on 82, did miss the steps, and fell over!!! I had left him because I forgot something in the car, and he decided not to wait and continue towards the villa himself. Luckily this only led to cuts and bruises, but it could have been MUCH worse! The need good lighting, and to not leave hoses lying around, and do some grouting.

Another thing it that even in may, it is fairly hot, and in our room the air conditioning did not work. I mentioned this to reception who said that it was because the aircon was also a heater, and this meant it did neither - and this affected all rooms in the villa, not just ours. I found this confusing, but she said it would be fixed the following day. And it was. Problem is, after 2 days, it has again packed up!

Also the WIFI in Villa Vella Luka work sporadically, and when it does, it is slow.

Anyway. I would like to love this place. But with the problems above, and extensive construction work going on currently, I can not justify a better rating than 3 stars. If you are older, take care walking around here, and make sure you have some health insurance!

Average 4* accommodation. Real nice surroundings

Visited this place in April on a Business Conference. Didn't expect much, however I was pleasantly suprised with the hotel surroundings. A lot of shade and plants, kids playgrounds near the beach.
Room itself, I was not particularly impressed with. It's kinda basic 4* accommodation. Clean, free WiFi internet and satellite TV. But if you're visiting here during summer, I think room doesn't have to be impressive. You'll be spending most of the day outside and that is where hotel Amor shines.
Hotel is within walking distance of Supetar town center.

Average - hardly a 4*

Location Good. Staff friendly. Room quoted as 'superior' rather over-rated. Buffet breakfast adequate, reminded us of a Holiday Camp style.
Hotel on same site as multiple block accommodation, sharing same facilities.
New off site restaurant 12noon - late (3km taxi ride) excellent food/service & ambiance.
