What People are saying

Beautiful hotel

This is my favorite hotel in Albuquerque. Great location that is accessible from both I-25 and I-40. Beautiful historic building. Very friendly staff from valet to registration to restaurants. Very attentive room service. Overall, room is quite lovely and feels true to the spirit of a hotel built in the 1930's but with fresh and modern styling and amenities.

European experience in New Mexico

Staying at Hotel Andaluz is the height of sophistication. Truly the finest hotel between LA and NYC. From the moment we checked in with Jacqueline, we were treated like VIPs. The exquisite decor & menus match the sophistication of the staff. Their intent is to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. It works. It is a European experience in the New Mexico deserts, with lots to do and see, but I preferred to stay in my room and feel like a princess.

Still lovely if you upgrade your room.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel, full of wonderful local artwork. I booked a package that included free valet parking and $15.00 per person credit for breakfast, which is a good deal if you plan to eat breakfast at the hotel (a good idea). The first room they put us in had a view of the neighboring roof, and NO counter space in the bathroom, not nearly as nice as the room we were in on our last visit. I called reception and upgraded (an extra $15 or so), and that room was gorgeous. Huge room, separate area with couch and desk, double sinks with plenty of counter space. So my advice is, for the best experience, go for one of the rooms with a kingsize bed, it's worth it if you are going to spend any time at all in the room. Staff, as always, was very obliging, and all promised parts of the package (parking, breakfast) "delivered" without a hitch. Be advised that Albuquerque doesn't seem to have any taxis, so if you plan to visit the Old Town (worth it), drive - plenty of parking, at least during the week, and save your feet for the sights, not the trip.

Excellent stay! Amazing value!

We loved our stay at Andaluz. The building looks modest on the outside but it is beautiful and very interesting on the inside. The room was spacious and clean, everything looked new. We loved the live music in the lobby! There is a great restaurant downstairs and even though Abq downtown may not be the most exciting one it is still nice to stroll down the street.

first night of a long roadtrip

Hotel Andaluz was our first stop on our vacation, driving from Houston we were exhausted when we first arrived. Upon arrival service was very good, valet very friendly and bell guys/reception very friendly. Food was great at the restaurant Mas tapas, and we had a nice drink upstairs at the hotel bar thereafter.
Before going to bed we went through reception to buy a couple of bottles of water. The receptionist answered us that they had some water "over there in the cabinets" and immediately looked down into her computer. When we tried to get a proper answer from her she said we should go to the restaurant to get the water. She was extremely rude, and left us with a rather negative impression of the hotel, despite that the rest of the hotel was great. Our impression is that Hotel Andaluz is overall very nice, but obviously have a lot do gain on the service side and friendliness of their staff. Dont see it likely we will stay here again.
