Acceptable
N7Killeron 09/03/2017 19:55Price is quite low, comfort of the room was decent, the food was mediocre. Short, yet accurate description. It is quite far away of the city centre but the bus stop is located just a few hundred metres away. And there is an infamous favela-like district located nearby.
Quiet and convenient
Kasia Con 31/03/2016 14:59Positive:
Located in a quiet area.
Although it's not in the city centre it is situated 3 min walk from the bus stop which connects to all areas of Gdynia.
Negative:
Bed wasn't really comfortable and also rather small.
Hardly any vegetarian options in the cafe bar and vegans are pretty much forgotten.
Nice Little Hotel
gemsfinderon 02/12/2014 14:57I booked through the hotel website and stayed there for 6 nights in September 2014.
From Airport, I took a taxi that cost 111 PLN by meter (return trip was only 99 Pln). Trip is about 30mins.
The unassuming hotel is located in a nice quiet residential area.
I requested for a single room but it came with 2 single beds. The room is clean and nice- it feels more like staying in someone's house as oppose to a hotel room. THe hotel exudes an atmosphere of a friendly country inn - the staff is very very helpful eventhough with limited english. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a good variety of cold cuts, cheese, pastries and fruits. I had so much that I had to skipped lunch!
On the first day, i ask for directions to the train station thinking that it was the most convenient way to travel into the city - it was a 15-20mins walk.
The next day, I found out that it was better to take the bust. From the hotel, it is a 5min walk to the nearest bus stop and you can get to anywhere from there. Ask the reception to direct you to the bus stop.
Antares give me the warmth of a home away from home. I really enjoyed my stay there and wanted to share with others.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone anytime.
Short stay before ship cruise
komaloon 17/06/2014 21:44I spent there only 1 night before ship cruise from Gdynia to Karlskrona (Sweden). Hotel is located pretty close to the harbour (around 10 minutes by taxi which cost approx. 15 PLN).
The hotel is located on a small street, close to a bakery (very nice smell of fresh bread during the night ;-). Hotel has 2 types of rooms: old ones and renovated ones (ask for renovated ;-). It has only 2 stars - but it is even a little more than this. The reception girl was very nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are small but comfortable. Breakfast is fine - you shouldn't complain.
Nice hotel
chief_Raggion 17/06/2014 20:11Stayed at hotel Antares for 2 months while working in Gydynia and it is very nice hotel to stay in, friendly staff and in quiet neighborhood. Little bit from centrum but okay if you have car or don't mind 5-10 minute bus ride.
