Good price/quality ratio

We arrived very early in the morning - around 6 a.m. The only person around was the gardener who explained with gestures that the receptionist will show up at 7. They agreed to let us check in early, we even bought breakfast and were already at the beach at 9 o'clock.

The room and bathroom were nice and clean. The shower cable was a bit short but there was a bidet so I guess that wasn't such a problem. ;)
Our room faced the street so it was quite noisy at night, though we still managed to get enough sleep.

The breakfast was quite nice (eggs, sausages, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread (there wasn't a toaster though), sweet and salty pastries, jams, tea and juice. A big minus for us was that the coffee wasn't included and there wasn't water at the breakfast table either.

The staff in general and the receptionist, in particular, were very friendly and spoke decent English, though we still managed to get in a comic situation when she told us that the bus tickets from the hotel to the center cost 600 ALL/person (they actually cost 60, i.e. 0,45 euro :D).

We paid for our stay with a card, though it wasn't possible to do it in the restaurant. However, the waiters were willing to wait for us to pay the bill at a later time when we had found an ATM in Durrës (there weren't any in or near the hotel). Beware of card fees in Albania - we were charged 700 ALL (over 5 euro) for each ATM withdrawal and card payment.

A great one night stay

We stayed in this hotel for only one night and it was ok for us. Rooms are tidy and plenty of space, but quite noisy at night. Or window faced a wall of other building (like 2 meters away). Breakfast was quite poor (coffee not included and juice were quite chemical (made from some powder)). Although hotel restaurant was great for a dinner! I enjoyed my seafood mix so much! And we paid no more than 40 eur for 4 person dinned with wine and beer.

Visited this hotel with my daughter, not what I expected although it was directly on on the beach, the staff very friendly right through to the cleaners, but the manager did not have very good people skills, would never smile or look directly at us when speaking, whether this was because he could not understand English very well, I do not know, it was only when my daughter spoke to him in Albanian that he started to smile. One evening the hotel had a student night on the waiter said to us it was fine for us to stay in the restaurant for the evening if we wanted unfortunately the manager had other ideas when he told us to finish quickly and leave the restaurant, as this hotel is directly on the road and lighting and pathways is not one if Albania's strong points, we had no option other than go to our room and watch t.v. for the evening, luckily we did have tv and fridge in room. Also this is a room with breakfast but this does not include coffee.

Friendly but dirty

The hotel is not what I expected. Rooms are old fashioned, dirty and there is no sea view. The food is very nice and tasty. It's cheap, beach is nice but I won't come back again. Ask room for main building. The other one is terrible.

Perfect and cheap place. Good hospitality.

Good hospitality. Food and wine are great also. Staff is very helpful. Visited 5 - 6 and really enjoyed. If you are in Durres and you want a good place and not expensive, than you must visit Bella Vista.
