Brda Hotel. 45 years serving guests. It used to be Hotel not just hotel. Huge building close to train station with shop selling expensive stuff from behind iron curtain. Bar and restaurant run by professional staff. Pure class. At least a lot of people had this idea. Times changed, Brda survived but stuck in last century. Almost everything is old. Breakfast room / restaurant remembering “dancings” for people, elevators easily can be use in horror movies with all kind of weird noises around. Even waiters are from old times. Nowadays waiting staff are young people trying earn some extra cash, Brda can offer employees with over 30 years experience. Respect to them as it is a hard job. Such a sentimental trip...
Room wasn’t bad but I did not expected a lot. I quite like it. Why? How can I complain about 10th floor with stunning view? Looks good day time, by dusk and sunrise. I’ve been shocked when I realised I can open window. Fully. Most hotels half size will fit windows with devices reducing access. If I want to jump I can (or I can spit...). Brilliant. But there is a major problem. No air con. I was very hot in room and I don’t want to think how it will be if heatwave will keep city in possession. Seems like a lot of famous people were staying here in the past as almost every room (except mine – maybe I should be added) on my floor had a frame with picture and autograph of celebrity who use particular chamber.
Breakfast good for price. And I had nice chat with waiter about history of hotel. Very informative.
Hotel Brda is not for everybody. If somebody need posh place or trendy Brda is not a match. Fans of history will smile few times without doubts. I had a great time. My wife, who is foreigner, also enjoy stay, especially with my comments about this place.

Very nice hotel and very nice and clean rooms. Lot of space as well. Very central and fine parking. excellent service, and price very nice as well.
24 hours open, and fine breakfast. Also very close to bus and train.

Like a hostel

Like a hostel. It must be built in the communist era, and im sure that there was no any reconstructions since then. The restaurant is not recommended. They were kind but the quality of the food is not so good...

I'm very surprised that not one member of management has responded to any comments on TripAdvisor. Everyone has different expectations of hotels, flights and the overall experience whether it's 1day or months of stay, the least management could do is respond to both the negative and positive reviews on TripAdvisor.

I would like to think that my upcoming stay at Brda hotel would be better than my last stay of which I didn't do a review on the standards of customer service would have been increased based on the previous posts on TripAdvisor!

It will interesting to see if things have changed since my last stay!

It takes maximum of 4 minutes to reply to a global review website like TripAdvisor and all the other hotel booking sites to either say thank you or explain the reasons behind any complaints.

Good hotel, great location but the customer care / service needs addressing as with any service based business.. restaurant, hotel, bar etc.. relies on repeat business from very satisfied customers and word of mouth.

What I'm feeling and experiencing reading all the reviews is that Brda hotel doesn't care about customers feedback which today is completely unacceptable with such competition fighting for business!!!

Positive:
Location ( close to literally everything )
Allowed late check in
Free car park on the street

Negative:

Due to family emergency I booked this hotel at last minute, tempted with £25 per night I decided to try it. Although I was placed on 7th floor it was really loud, noise from the street and corridor.
Didn't get much sleep and I have asked for quite room due to late arrival and desperate need of some sleep.
Uncomfortable beds, very basic decor and really thin walls , I could her person in next room opening the door to their bathroom.
When I mentioned everything to the receptionist she just apologised and waved goodbye.
For £10 extra you can stay in Mercure hotel with much much better facilities, staff and no noise.

I won't be making the same mistake and will definitely add bit
More money and stay in decent hotel.
