Great Location, Very Spacious
shmikerson 11/08/2017 23:31Hotel was very nice. The check in was very relaxed and casual. After we checked in, we walked the block to our apartment as it is not in the same building as the front desk. Room is very bright and spacious. It did, however, need a little love. Had a mildew smell and the walls were a bit dusty and dingy. Overall, amazing place to stay in Delft, close to activities and train station.
Stay anywhere but here
brspdxon 11/08/2017 02:12We had made a reservation months ago for a room in this hotel. Not only did we call and confirm this reservation and the details of it a few times, we also had email confirmation of this.
We were given a room that not only did not have what was asked for and had been advertised and promised, but it was also a room that featured exactly what we had stated was unacceptable, no A/C and a folding cot for one of the beds.
The two young women at the front desk acknowledged that our reservation was for another room and that they had given it to someone else. They had no authority to make any changes to resolve our room situation.
When we asked to speak to the owner/manager we were told he was busy and would not show up for 2 hours.
When this person finally showed up he was extremely rude. He tried to make it as though we had made a mistake in our reservation, even though we had email confirmation and the two women at the front desk had confirmed this.
When I tried to talk to him, he told me to stop talking and be quiet!
The owner/manager not only told us it was our doing, but then proceeded to charge us for all 3 nights, even though we did not have a room there.
We did not stay one night at this hotel.
I have traveled in Europe, Asia, Central and South America and have never been treated with such rudeness and dishonesty.
There are many lovely places to stay in Delft. Stay anywhere but here.
dishonest manager/owner
DesertFleuron 07/08/2017 19:20Traveling with my sisters, we booked a room months in advance and were shown to a completely different room, with options that included exactly what we had specifically said we did not want, such as a folding cot instead of a real bed. The hotel manager was not on premises, and he refused to talk to us by phone, and left two young receptionists who had no authority to make any decisions whatsoever.
I have lived abroad and traveled extensively, including through Europe, Central and South America, and a bit of the Middle East, and I have never had a worse hotel experience. When the manager finally showed up he lied about changing our reservation, which the receptionist had said she saw in the computer, and he tried to blame us for the error he had made. He was extremely rude and refused to listen to us and tried to charge us as no-shows when we said we would not accept the room he wanted to give us instead of the room we had booked.
Delft is a lovely town. Go to any other hotel, but stay away from this nightmare.
Studio room, clean and great location
TangueraSFon 31/07/2017 23:47Stayed at a studio at the back street at the beginning of their summer vacation. Clean, no steep stairs :), great location to train station and market square, plus friendly hotel staff. It came with A/C, kitchen and tub. Pleasant stay for 3 days.
Quaint and Charming
Mojovon 21/07/2017 05:05Very charming. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the canal. We knew about the narrow staircase but it wasn't a problem ( we travel light). It added to the charm. Bathroom was large & water pressure was strong ( that is a must for us). Staff was helpful and let us store our bags when we checked out. Great location, quick walk to train station and major squares and sights. Breakfast was fine. The street is not too busy at night but we did hear some revelers passing by in the early morning but nothing to lose sleep over 🙂. Happy with our choice.
