Soul healing and peaceful
Ria Ron 18/06/2015 08:02This small hotel makes you feel like coming home, very pleasant owners with welcoming attitude. The hotel is in a picturesque peaceful small town in the middle of beautiful nature, next to a small stream that creates a good scenery for a good sleep. The room with a balcony we had was facing the mountains, just as the restaurant. You can visit the castle Neuswanstein or go hiking - Breitachklamm is highly recommended.
Breathtaking Views
soccerladeyon 06/08/2014 23:13We stayed with our 2 teens for 3 nights. The hotel was a bit out of the way, but not too difficult to find. Our apartment was large roomy and clean. It rained on us, so the dining area in our room was quite handy for games. Hosts were friendly and helpful despite our lack of speaking german.
The hotel offers afternoon coffee and desserts (small fee, but very delicious), but no lunch or dinner. Having afternoon coffee on the outer deck was so relaxing. Breakfast is a typical continental type breakfast. Boiled eggs, bread, cheese, juices & different types of coffee etc.
Nearby are several lifts to top of ski resorts where you can hike or take in views. We did day trips to Neuschwanstein Castle and a gorge- river walk area. You can even take the kids to the local sports park to play soccer (after the team training hours).
Good location & service
JohnScott48on 22/09/2013 16:50We stayed one night after driving up from the Boden See region. Coming from this direction, the hotel is on the far side of Bad Hindelang, below the Alpenstrasse and nearer Bad Oberdorf. It is a peaceful location with fine views of the mountains.
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a good size bathroom. We had a view looking down the valley and across to the mountains but not all rooms enjoy this view.
The hotel does not serve evening meals but was happy to reserve a table at a restaurant in the village (5min walk downhill, a little longer returning).
Breakfast was fine without being outstanding. I would happily stay again at Cafe Hochstadt.
Nice out of the way place
RobertPatrickon 08/08/2013 15:04The room was very clean. Some rooms have great view of the mountains. When coming down the hill (from Fussen) it's before the town, so the road is easy to miss. Breakfast is normal for a German B&B, good but not great. The host speaks good English. The internet did not work in the room and the lobby is small.
Peaceful spot
mlw77on 07/07/2013 11:49We enjoyed our stay at this quiet and relaxing hotel. The apartment was large and clean, perfect for our family with young children. Rooms are basic, but the daily breakfast and views of the mountains are outstanding.
