We stayed at the Hotel Bulten when we visiting some family which stayed at camping Vreehorst. The hotel is in a industrial estate, but once you find it, it feels quite secluded owing to the trees that they have planted around the grounds. It opposite the raikway, bud no sound of the trains will enter your room.
The staff are charming and the room we had was small with a fpuble bed and a small badroom. Ok for one night.
The bar was fine.We did had there recommended special menu which consisted of a great homemade soup, Wiener Schnitzel served with Cauliflower, beans along with a potato flake dish and a generous serving of Patat (Netherlands for chips) served with mayonnaise. The desert was ice cream served beautifully with a pineapple sauce.
Breakfast was, of course, Dutch with cold meats and cheese, but they also had cereals, boiled eggs, fruit, three different breads along with jams, and other spreads.
The garden also had extensive tables and chairs, although it was too cold to sit outside, but in warmer weather, it would have been very pleasant enjoying a Grolsch or three in the garden.
Friendly English-speaking staff and we would stay here again if we visit Wknterswijk for a day.

Old world charm in outer Holland

This hotel was booked for us by www.easywalk.nl for our walk along the Noaberpad between the German and Dutch border. Hotel is clean and quiet. Beds okay but not superior. Good beer and good menu. Rooms large by european standards. Breakfast usual dutch meal of cold cuts and hard boiled eggs, rolls and yogurt. Very good value.

Nice

We recently stayed at the Hotel Cafe Restaurant Bulten. The location is brilliant just a 15 minute walk from the train station. The room we had was nice a little old fashioned but not enough to ruin a stay. Although the hotel is across the road from the train track we didn't hear a single train our whole stay. Breakfast was typical dutch with cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, various breads and jams. When having breakfast we were seated next to the window and the outside terrace looked lovely. I can imagine in summer it would be lovely. The staff were really friendly and spoke English. The only tiny issue for me was the room we were given was a twin but they were pushed together so it could have been much worse.
All in all was a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great value, friendly staff, comfortable & clean Hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Bulten with my son on a visit to the Netherlands. It is quite tucked away in an industrial estate, but once you find it, it feels quite secluded owing to the trees that they have planted around the grounds.
The staff are charming and the room we had was spacious with a great wetroom. Comfortable beds, very clean and tidy.
The bar was fine and we enjoyed a few Grolsch before we ate. They recommended the special menu which consisted of a great homemade soup, Wiener Schnitzel served with Cauliflower, beans along with a potato flake dish and a generous serving of Patat (Netherlands thin chips) served with mayonnaise. The pudding was ice cream served beautifully with, I think, a pineapple sauce.
It has to be said, that the Hotel is very near the train line, but there are not too many and their trains somehow they seemed to arrive and depart silently!
Breakfast was, of course, Dutch with cold meats and cheese, but they also had cereals, boiled eggs, fruit, three different breads along with jams, and other spreads – so something for all tastes.
The garden also had extensive tables and chairs, although it was too cold to sit out, but in warmer weather, it would have been very pleasant enjoying a Grolsch or three in the garden.
Prices were excellent a twin-bedded room (had three single beds) with breakfast and dinner for two was £107.
In summary, very comfortable, great value, friendly English-speaking staff and would stay again.
