Disappointing stay
ZHusainon 29/05/2016 08:31We stayed in this hotel while visiting Bilaspur on official duty.
The hotel is one of the oldest hotel in the city and has clearly outlived its time. The room was clean and very spacious. But the AC was very poor, and the fan above the bed very slow. This made the room very uncomfortable. The fridge was very dirty and not working.
The toilet was very large and had new tiles. Sadly the drainage was very poor,s o that taking a bath flooded the bathroom. When the water drained the soap suds remained on the floor. Initially the basin pipe, too, leaked so that water accumulated in the bucket kept underneath. Two calls to the room service , however, got this repaired. They also changed batteries of the TV remote.
The breakfast was very poor—in terms of variety and quality. On the last day we had to start at 6:30. We were given watered down milk, cornflakes, bananas, bread and butter and eggs — after a great deal of shouting from our team members.
The reception was OK. The check in process was fast and we got a complimentary drop to the station.
Overall, a very poor experience.
Better than average
mountclevereston 22/06/2015 13:14Stayed here the first time way back in 2008 during my marriage when this was the best bet. Bilaspur has seen tremendous growth since and this one is no longer the center point exactly as there are much better options!
Nevertheless, it's reasonably priced with some good rooms and satisfactory food on offer. It is almost on the Bus Stand and the Railway Station is not far away either which should be the USP for business travelers. If you are passing through Bilaspur or have to stay here for a day or two only then you can opt for it.
Terrible Hotel and Restaurant
