Me and my friend have just got back from an 11 night stay at Club Bahamas, it is the nicest hotel I've stayed in.

Food - The all inclusive food choices provide a wide variety of foods to cater for all tastes, it doesn't get boring, with different choices put out at breakfast, lunch and dinner; it isn't repetitive.

Noise - The hotel itself is not noisy with music played throughout the day however it is not blaring, the only comment I can make regarding noise is then planes flying over, seeing as the airport is roughly 7 minutes away from Club Bahamas, but we both had no issues hearing them throughout the night.

Rooms - We stayed in room 1127, where the rooms are spacious, modern and relaxing. The aircon worked perfectly, TV in English and working fridge. Our balcony was HUGE where we had sun lounges on meaning we did not have to move throughout the day, an umbrella, chairs&table, and clothes horse. Overall, the rooms are perfect from my perspective giving a good base for either a relaxing or party holiday. We was in block 6, with the beach on our doorstep and we could see the sea from our balcony. The hotel itself has lovely scenery, catering for all different age ranges. Oh and there's WIFI in every room and all around the hotel which was perfect.

Clubs - Me and my friend visited Pacha, Ushuaia, Ibiza Rocks and Amnesia, which are either a short taxi ride or bus journey. Ushuaia is a five minute walk from Club Bahamas but you cannot hear any noise coming from it. Taxi prices are reasonable and the bus being €3 per person.

Local area - From walking 10 mins from Club Bahamas you'll find multiple shops, bars and restaurants and the strip a bit further down. All streets lead down to the beach also.

Hotel - On most reviews the complaints is the salt water however on the Thompson page is does specify that both taps and pool are salt water, we never had any issues as it is not strong and the cleaners leave a fresh bottle of water everyday.
The transfer was quick and hassle free.
The hotel has key card security which keeps all the riff raff out where you have to scan your room card to get out and in making you feel safe and there is a security guard both during the day and night.

Overall, I cannot fault the staff at Club Bahamas who always went out of their way to ensure all needs was met and maximising your holiday experience.
A special mention to Daniel on reception, who gives a warm welcoming face on arrival, sorts out any issues and likes to brighten your holiday.
Club Bahamas is the perfect place to stay for any type of holiday you may be looking for.
We would definitely go again.

Good and Bad wouldn't return

Booked this hotel with my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary. Very short trip from the airport which is always a good thing, however it does mean there are lots of planes coming and going during the day. Personally this did not bother us.

On arrival the smell of sewerage hits - it does come and go but we did not experience this smell in any other restaurant/bar/hotel so it is hard to believe its to do with the wind in Ibizia and nothing to do with the hotels waste system.

Checking into the hotel takes rather a long time. You offered a drink whilst you wait but be prepared for a longer than average wait. Personally I feel that new arrival packs should be ready and waiting for the guests on arrival. Instead staff are here and there getting various bits of paper to give you. We had a late flight so the restaurant was closed but they open is for a light buffet especially for the late arrivals.

The rooms are comfy and clean. The salt water though is not good. I appreciate it is the same for everyone on the island but you definately need plenty of moisturiser and good quality hair conditioner. Rooms are given a quick clean daily along with fresh towels. A bottle of water is provided daily for drinking/teeth cleaning. Our room was almost at the end of the corridor on the top floor so we didn't get anyone passing our door however we could often here people shouting etc which echos throughout the building.

We didn't spend a single day around the pool in the hotel. Firstly, by 9 am there is absolutely no room around the pool. The beds are stacked every night but in the morning everyone grabs a bed, puts it anywhere they wish and slaps a towel on it. Often these beds are left unoccupied until lunchtime which is really frustrating. Due to the amount of beds you are all crammed in with no room unless you choose to put your bed at the far end, away from the toilets, bar and pool. There is entertainment around the pool which is the standard stuff. Not what we wanted but can see would appeal to others. I am pretty easily pleased and chilled but guests throwing up in bins in the afternoon etc is not what I want from my holiday. Also the empty glasses etc everywhere makes you think you are in a club 18-30 hotel. The staff do an amazing job in the evening tidying the pool area up, although I do feel their pain.

We spent everyday on the beach. Sir Rocco seemed to have the best price on sunbeds, you also get free wi-fi and use of their toilets plus good music from the ushuaia hotel. You do get the men from Senegal trying to sell you their items but we found if you said Hi and were polite they will leave you alone. After all they are just trying to earn money to send home to their families.

We occasionally ate at the hotel. Everything is buffet style which is no problem. Really well presented, clean and good variety. If this had been our only option then I do not feel we would have had any issues with the food provided. Loved the really crispy bacon!

Our biggest let down was sadly with the hotel management. The day before we travelled home we returned from the beach to discover that our room was flooded. I went to see a rep and she arranged for someone to come and see what had happened. On returning to the room my husband had slipped and banged his leg. The rep called to see if maintenance had sorted it but said they still hadn't arrived. After another 10 minutes they came, discovered it was from the toilet and carried out the repair. They arranged for a cleaner to come and get rid of the surface water which had come from the bathroom, sink area, all under the bed and under some of the sofa. My husband waited whilst I went to see the rep. My Ugg sandels, heels and iphone cable had been in the water - salt water too. I began to talk to the rep and the manager was in ear shot and basically told me to put them out to dry and they will be fine. It is extremely hard to express in words the way the Manager spoke to me but it was in a way that made me feel I was wanting something for nothing and he really did not want to deal with me. The rep clearly understood that I was not making a fuss but my charger no longer worked and certainly my ugg sandels will be ruined by the salt water. The rep said to let them dry out and if they were no good to bring them back the next day and they would reinburse me. This was totally exceptable to me, however, the manager stated 'if I choose to do this then he will keep the shoes, I can't have both'. This really upset me. If I am claiming my shoes are ruined why would I want them? It made me feel like I was being sterotyped for some reason.

The following day I returned to the rep - thankfully management not around - and they very kindly reimbursed the cost of my shoes and charger. They kept my shoes but they would only go in the bin!

This hotel is no way a platinum hotel and it hits a 3* rating but with nothing more. Staff on the whole are really pleasant and do the best they can. We will return to this area again but not to this hotel

amazing holiday,great location

got back today,after worrying about my holiday due to negative reviews,i can tell anyone dont take any notice,first i was in room 2126 very nice room great view of the pool and a nice balcony,second the food was great huge selection at mealtimes,next the staff every staff member i met was polite and good at their job,the drinks were local brands but very acceptable,plenty of beds round the pool,and the lovely beach right next to hotel was great,no problems with the showers and a large bottle of fresh water every day,the only thing in my opinion that could improve the hotel is maybe reduce the percentage of all boy/girl groups although this caused us no problems,all in all a very enjoyable holiday we will return for sure ,thanks to all the staff you do a great job

Fantastic Hotel and Staff

Our third visit to the Bahamas, as lovely as always, main restaurant amazing plenty choice. Rooms cleaned regularly, drinks available freely. Went this time with three other couples who had never been before. They all loved it. Staff fantastic and very helpful. Enjoyed our nights at Hard Rock Roof Top. Our room was on the ground floor as requested next to the poolside. Loved it. Sorry Bahamas but have to comment on your theme restaurant. We went as a treat for my friends Birthday. Six courses no choice. Two fish courses- Four of us did not eat fish. Steak served rare- we all like well done. Not allowed to request how it is cooked. unfortunately we all left very hungry that night. Last years way of service was ten times superior. Sorry I recommended to my friends. But on an end note this was my only upset with the hotel and I suppose they can only learn by the reviews. But I do feel I need to repeat, everyone should have choice when eating it is a personnel thing. Anyway Bahamas we will return and look forward to the beautiful beach again.

Another great stay at club bahamas

Stayed club Bahamas 31st may till June 7th, we booked in and was given a lovely room on 3rd floor block 6,
The food was all good quality, can't please everyone but there was a good choice.
Terrace bar staff very friendly and made a lovely cocktail,
Location excellent, gate leading to beautiful beach, we don't sit round pool but sunbeds reserved from 6.30, plenty of sunbeds so I don't think you need to set your alarm,after all you are on holiday!
All staff very friendly and manager run a tight ship.
There is a need for greater security presence to prevent rowdy guest getting out of hand, especially after midnight and disturbing guest.
Hotel very good value money and will return next year.
