Fabulous stay!
Kathryn Non 17/08/2017 19:18Loved the dona ines hotel. We (me, my husband, pre teen son and daughter) stayed here for one night during a road trip in Portugal. We had 2 rooms with an interconnecting door (found through expedia in the absence of any hotels with family rooms in coimbra). Enjoyed the swimming pool. Great value bar. Lovely rooms. Very comfortable and sophisticated. Great facilities (tennis court and table tennis and spa treatments). Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Only 15 minutes walk to the centre of coimbra. And free parking in the underground car park. Helpful and friendly staff. We all really enjoyed the stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the dona ines.
Very poor hotel

The beds were awful - hard, old single beds. Charging point only on one side of the bed(s)... The bathroom was average - the shower was in the bath and was just OK. No tissues supplied - again!
Breakfast was chaos - LARGE tour groups... ONE coffee machine serving horrible coffee. Nowhere to sit, no clean cutlery, people sitting outside around the pool amid piles of dirty plates, cups etc.
Individual travellers should seriously consider whether they need to use this hotel.

JsCcBon 08/08/2017 21:55Although some of the rooms are small, and some larger, the buffet breakfast has many options, the staff are nice and competent in English, and we were very comfortable here for 5 days during which my husband got sick and spent time at the ER and then faxing and scanning medical documents. We couldn't have done it without the help of the hotel staff. The prices vary online, so be careful to check for your best option. I found that the hotel was more than willing to give us the same price as an online booking service and add in some perks like parking. The underground garage is clean and easy to access. Except for the dark hallways and the tiny pool deck visited every morning by pigeons, the facility is quite comfortable.
Excellent Stay
semanticvisionon 07/08/2017 11:27A very nice modern hotel with excellent amenities, the staff is friendly and location is very close to the freeway. We took a taxi to the Coimbra university and walked our way down and passed beautiful town center and had dinner before returned to the hotel for an excellent night of rest.

It's outside is not brilliant, but the rooms are nicely decorated and we slept very good!
The breakfast was very good and we had everything we wanted to eat.
The reception/breakfast/lounge-areas are very nice and modern.
The bathroom was a little dated, but we had everything we wanted.
WIFI is good quality. And as an extra there is a pool outside and some small wellness areas inside.
We can only recommend this hotel!
