What People are saying
Best for the over night stay to Badrinath
kishorepasarion 15/09/2016 08:10I stayed there on my way to valley of flowers. very convenient location, food, neat/clean. I was not expecting anything more. They had a conference on. People were enjoying.
The dinning room/ restaurant need more lights.
Impressive
naviinnon 03/09/2016 19:10For starters, we went in not expecting much in a place like joshimat. The front lobby, if I could say that, was as expected, but the rooms were newly done up and impressive. The room size was decent but strictly for 2 people and bathrooms were neat and with geysers. The downside was a smell that is emitted by new wood work, MDP sheets actually.
The restaurant is very basic, but market is 250mts away and we did not have anything otherthan breakfast at the hotel. The view from the room is stunning, but electricity wires hanging around spoils the view.
The gentleman at front office has loads of information and will help you with directions and general information. The shankaracharya mutt is about 500mtr from the hotel.
Good place to stay with good location, service, hygiene and food
ReviewsByLuxon 24/08/2016 15:20We were put up here by the group we were travelling with. This hotel is well located, at the entrance to Joshimath, near the small market and the Auli rope way. Fabulous misty mountains view from the hotel entrance. Our room did not have the view but it was alright as we were there for the night. Rooms with views are available. Our room no. 114 was of deluxe category, neat, clean, with satellite TV, comfortable bed and warm blankets, good bathroom with geyser. The food at their restaurant was good with very good service. Good dhabas are a very short walk away. Hope the maintenance stays as good. Good job for running such a clean and comfortable hotel in Joshimath, worth the price. Will stay with them again for sure.
Good Hotel with great views of the Garhwal Himalayas
Viceroy4on 20/08/2016 10:19Location:
This is hotel is located just before you enter the main Joshimath Town. Situated on a hill side it has i think about 20 rooms. The area around the hotel is in an open area and bereft of the noise of the town.
Reception:
The reception is quite large for a hotel in a small town, the Manager Mr Rawat was a nice and respectful guy who took care of our check in that was done fast. There is also a restaurant that caters to the taste buds quite well. The vegetables like Cabbage, Cauliflower, Capsicum, Tomatoes, green chilies etc are grown organically in the garden in the hotel compound.Green & Red Apples and Pear are grown within.
Rooms:
The Front Rooms facing the road are the superior rooms and the ones facing the back are standard rooms. The superior rooms are fitted with flat screen TVs and have a large balcony that faces the Elephant mountain & the Sleeping beauty mountains. The bathrooms are large and have been fitted with large geysers that can give you ample hot water. There are air conditioners too in the rooms.
Beds & Linen : The beds are comfortable and soft, the Linen is also clean and enough to keep you warm given the cool weather.
Staff : Led by Mr Rawat the staff are really courteous and attentive, always willing to help.
Overall nice experience and I would recommend this hotel highly.
