First, the rooms must be paid in advance. We had paid for a sea view, but due to mistake we got a room with a view over the parking lot. For some reason we were given a suite with a sea view, maybe because there weren't any ordinary rooms with sea view available. The staff at reception didn't utter a word when I told them we got the wrong room, just clicked a lot on the computer and finally gave me keys to a different room. The room was very nice, with a semi-separate sitting room. As this suite is made from to ordinary rooms, one part contains bedroom and bathroom, the other living room and large wardrobe facilities. A large opening har been made between the bedroom and living room. But why on earth is the entrance at the bedroom side, when the door is still there at the living room side? The sea view is stunning., and the windows floor to ceiling. There are two balconies beside each other. The problem is that the road just outside is noisy. There's also not proper air condition, so you'll need to keep the blacony door open at night in warm weather.
The breakfast is very good. Inside the hotel is quiet, guests mostly grown-ups without children. No room service, no tea/coffee making facilities in room (!). Lousy wifi.

Griffen is a hotel with a great and friendly staff. Nice welcome, helpful reception, nice view, and a descent danish breakfast. A short walk from the center of Roenne, close to the sea. Some traffic-noice, and a bit old rooms, but clean. Will be back.
