Excellent place to stay

We are a family of 4 including 2 naughty kids aged 8 and 4. We stayed here for 3 nights. Very nice place especially in a small city like Porbandar. Very neat and clean. We stayed in the cheapest rooms which were quite large with a separate wardrobe area. Views from the room were pathetic, but then you are looking down at the streets anyway.
Staff were really courteous and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was excellent although the choice was limited to poha, aloo parathas, bread and butter. All rooms are air conditioned.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a neat and clean place to stay in Porbandar.
We were told the place was 10 years old. If they can maintain this way, it would be just great and I wouldn't look at another place to stay in that part of India.

Absolutely spot on, superb. But watch the boiling hot water in the shower!

Booked blind and it was brilliant. Very clean, spacious (massive) and well appointed rooms, excellent staff and a good price too. Everything worked. Up to and exceeding European standrds, IMHO. A bit of faffing when I booked in due to the allocated room having not been readied, soon remedied though. Shall be heading straight here if I return to Porbandar.

Excellent location. Right in city centre. Parking facility is available. Rooms are large and excellent. Hotel is very clean. The hotel does not have restaurant and provides only room service. Television with all the channel, Hindi & English. Certainly worth staying. The hotel has a lift.

Good by Indian standards

We only had 2 choices for our stay in Porbander, Harmony or Lords. On family recommendation we decided to go for Harmony as our parents had also been staying there the week before.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when checking in, hotel was clean enough, rooms were very spacious but they didn’t have that luxury or executive feel which we had got accustomed to in Rajkot. Beds were big, but very hard and blankets were itchy. AC had a mind of its own and worked when it felt like it. Welcome to India!

Although the hotel itself is basic and does the job, the one thing which does stand out is the service. We had 4 rooms so had pretty much taken over the 3rd floor. Our room doors would remain open and the family would congregate in the foyer of the 3rd floor, we would order room service and they would know who to charge it to and bring it to us outside the room. The food quality was exceptional, after suffering from delhi belly a few days, the food at Harmony sorted us out and they would even make their toasted sandwiches to the taste of my children which was really appreciated. Food and laundry were both reasonably priced and quick. Breakfast was included in the price of the room but was very basic, cereal toast or one indian item, again it did the job.

Would I recommend this hotel to others? Yes, as it is the best you will get in this town, don’t expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Very average by global standards but very good by Porbandar's...

Good location on MG road, helpful staff with excellent service, clean spacious rooms with AC, reasonable view and lighting. The shower was excellent; hot and powerful, just what is needed after a day out in grimey Porbandar. On service and food, they heated up my wife wife's imported porridge sachet to perfection for breakfast which was much appreciated, and their breakfast was decent. Overall, nothing exceptional but nothing especially bad. A safe bet and I would recommend and stay there again.
