Comfortable stay
_samveson 23/05/2016 19:08We enjoyed four days in a basic double room. The room was clean and contained basic amenities. The breakfast buffet changed some each day and was tasty and plentiful. The wifi required a login each time it was accessed but was adequate for email and web access. The location is a couple of km from the train station, a nice walk to the center center and just a short distance from a grocery store. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay at Hotel Heidpark again.
Excellent value for money
Keith Ton 03/01/2016 23:01After we had booked for a family of four at very short notice, the hotel provided a spatious, spotlessly clean room which easily accommodated two childrens' beds with breakfast thrown in for under 100 euros - truly astonishing value for money. It may be otherwise unremarkable and limited in terms of facilities, but the combination of spaciousness and cleanliness (with parquet floors) is hard to beat for this price. Thoroughly to be recommended for people on business or families travelling on a tight budget. Plentiful parking facilities directly outside the hotel.
Going back in time.
Roddy999on 11/12/2015 06:48Stayed as a couple whilst visiting family in Luneburg. A hotel going back in time but this added to the cosy feeling rather than bland modermism. The room were big and the en-suite large. Maybe a few maintenence issues here and there but the atmosphere in the hotel was warm and inviting, especially when decorated for Christmas. The restaurant served a good breakfast and the staff lovely, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk from town or an 8 minute taxi ride costing 8 euros each way. The room with breakfast was 100 euros each night for two. All in all, a nice stay and I will be using the hotel again. Thank you.
Very nice small hotel
Tarquin1984on 14/10/2013 21:37Spent 2 nights in this small hotel (with late arrival on first night) and was very satisfied there. Very nice and clean rooms, rich buffet breakfast, free internet connection and surely great restaurant with absolutely amazing steaks. Next time being in this city, surely I’m going to choose this hotel with very friendly and supportive staff.
Friendly if a bit odd
Malcolm Mon 06/03/2012 10:34The staff here were very friendly, despite lacking English - my few words of German produced occasional giggles. The room was clean if a little sparan. The restaurant has a limited selection in the evening but the food was good. The bedrooms are all one floor up (above a 24-hour travel agency?) and there is no lift, which can pose problems if you have wlaking difficulties. What surprised me - and this was my first visit to Germany so the practice may be widespread - was to have a small dog try to jump on my lap in the dining room. Whenever I ate there appeared to be dogs in the breakfast/dining room. I guess that this may be a German trait or that the hotel may just be 'dog friendly'.
