Old style hotel near Hannover airport

You have the large nets hotels in the airport itself or you can take a taxi to a short distance to Langenhagen Jaegerhof hotel to enjoy the comfort of small hotel and restaurant with a tradition and older style.
I had enjoyed the stay this time as in the past.

Short taxi ride from the airport (about 12 Euro), friendly service at check-in.
We had booked 2 rooms and both of them were large and comfortable. We liked the seating facilities: a sofa, table and chairs plus a large wardrobe. The bathroom was also large but a bit outdated and the shower rather small. The mattress was very good and we didn't hear any noise throughout the night and had a good rest. Supposedly the restaurant is very good but we went for a 20 minute walk to a Balkan restaurant.
This is a nice alternative to the airport hotels.

Olde Worlde charm

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night recently and had a very nice stay

To be honest we were barely there, we checked in then headed out again quickly afterwards only to return late at night and leave again the next morning. My husband booked the deluxe rooms which for an extra 3-4 euros was probably worth it. The room was huge as was the bathroom- the bathroom was probably the size of other hotels' bedrooms. The room had apparently been recently refurbished, everything seemed clean and in good condition. The room had a working fridge, TV, armchairs, table, huge wardrobe and a stand for your suitcase. It was very nicely decorated and individual, it was nice to stay somewhere that wasn't completely corporate.

The staff we met were polite and efficient. Didn't eat at the restaurant or have breakfast, both of which seemed on the pricey side.

There was no safe, the bed was a bit too soft for my liking (but that's a personal thing) and be aware that if you book a double room, it's two single mattresses pushed together each with their own single duvet. This is very typical for Germany. My only other gripe is that wi-fi wasn't explained when we checked in- we assumed it would be obvious but no it wasn't, we had to ask back down at reception for a logon and password each- would have been nice if it had been offered without us having to ask about it, since we are both under 40 and therefore very likely to use it.

Would very happily stay here agian.

Business stay

Always good and relaxing here, get the large rooms with massive bathrooms and couch. Quiet out in the countryside, good sleep, great restaurant and good breakfast. Excellent beer and coffee. I always stay here on my trips on business to the area.

Worst 4* hotel I have ever visited

Honestly speaking, I was shocked when visited this 4* hi-end hotel near Hanover. Reception and whole stuff was conceited, restaurant with their dishes and menu was overpriced, portions were small and in my opinion it was no tasty at all. Airplanes were landing and taking off over the hotel (the sound of these planes was really loud). But the worst thing was internet connection in this hotel. I think, that 4* hotel must have almost ideal and fast internet connection, but not in this hotel. I was staying here for 2 nights (3 days) and none of those days it was possible to use internet at all (and it was extremely important for me). Even basic google page was loading for about 3-5 minutes. It was real horror, because I must to do some work in the net and it was simple impossible to connect to the mailbox or somewhere else. I went to reception and told them, that it was impossible to use the internet. The man in the reception don't even paid attention to my problem. I was still standing and waiting for someone's attention. After few minutes another man from the stuff came to me and asked what problems do I have. I gave him my laptop and said, that I must work and I need WORKING internet connection and not that parody what they are offering at the moment. He said, that the hotel is full and everybody is surfing the internet, that's why is it extremely slow. I said, that it is not acceptable, they must take care about much better connection speed. He was just nodding his head and went away. Later I have tried to use the internet in early morning (at 5 AM) hoping that everyone is sleeping and connection will become a little bit better, but actually it wasn't. For the whole 3 days I was staying here there was no internet at all (okay, it was, but it was impossible to use it because of slowness - after entering any address in the browser you must wait for ~5 minutes for half-page load or for receiving error message, that connection timed out). Horrible experience, I won't stay here never in my life.
