Beautiful Parisian townhouse in the 16th
Gavin Won 30/10/2016 13:49Five minutes walk from Trocadero Villa Glamour is an elegantly simple hotel of some 25 rooms. Looking more like a house than hotel from the outside, the small downstairs dining room and courtyard are ample for its size, and whilst there is no bar the room service drinks menu is very fairly priced.
The rooms are old, glamorous as theme suggests, but elegant and comfortable. Marble, antique, a spa bath, and a small balcony window looking out onto a quiet rue de la Pompe.
The staff are very helpful - arriving at midnight and needing to print some documents, they did this effortlessly within minutes at 20c per sheet.
Breakfast was served quickly, with bread, cheese, yoghurt, juice, coffee and tea for EUR9....very cheap by paris standards.
If you need to stay in this part of Paris, and want somewhere quiet and unobtrusive, Villa Glamour is a good choice and at EUR175 for the night, good value.
Very close to subway
larissa kon 26/08/2016 20:07The hotel is very close to the subway (almost in front) and in a very good area in Paris. There is a winter garden and the decoration is nice. All employees spoke english.
They didnt have breakfast, but they had frigobar. The room is nice, comfortable and with a lot of space. I didnt like the service that much for 2 reasons:
1. One time I came back to the hotel (around 17:00) and bed wasnt ready and trash was not collected.
2. We have water running down from our ceiling and they said they would do something but next day it was still there. I wasnt going to stay longer so I didnt care, but it was annoying.
In my opinion this hotel is a little too expensive for what it offers. It is not "that much". They didnt have a recepcionist after some hours at night.
It was nice but I think there are better hotels in the area.
Boutique Hotel
fastaway3on 25/08/2016 06:33A great small hotel with about 10 rooms. Very comfortable and clean that makes you feel you are really in Paris.Expresso and croissants always available. The manager is a knowledgable Polish woman (Gosia) who came to Paris for a weekend and never left!!!
The location is close to the underground and 3 stops and you are at Roland Garros.
Definitely going back.!!! Joe Soos
Wonderful little boutique hotel in an ideal location
JoffRon 19/07/2016 20:50If you are looking for something a little different this is the place. Ideally located for the Trocadero and Eiffel tower, this little hotel of around 10 bedrooms is the place. Each room is furnished differently so it's not hotel decor by numbers you get with the chains. We only had 1 night there and were considering going out for breakfast as the standard fare you get in hotels is not normally that great. But, due to time restrictions we decided to have breakfast in the hotel and it was great "pure Poirot" (yes I know he's Belgium, but you get my drift) lovely coffee, a selection of pastries, breads and jams. If you're driving there is no parking, but there are car parks within a 10 minute walk, the Metro stop is a matter of a few minutes away. Although located close to many attractions the area appears to be largely residential so is quiet - we were on the front of the hotel and were not disturbed by traffic. I would certainly recommend the hotel.
