Apartment stay at Hotel Kalliste
RedTedson 11/10/2017 21:16These apartments are nicely located up the hill behind the Hotel Kalliste which is very convenient for the swimming pool. They are quite spacious and clean and reasonably well equipped, apart from a dearth of kitchen utensils. They are however, in urgent need of redecoration and refurbishment as they are beginning to look tatty and many of the fixtures are in need of repair. Their worst feature however, is that they are noisy. A lot of sound is transmitted through the walls and floors from the other apartments in the block and the noise from the plumbing is particularly intrusive.
The wifi can only be accessed by going to the Hotel reception [a good walk away] which consists mainly of the breakfast area and so there is no comfortable seating.
Good hotel
Bidaiari77on 13/09/2017 19:34Good hotel with nice renewed rooms. Views to the tower and the sea are fantastic. There are some points to improve in teh breakfast: coffee is terrible and there's no fresh fruit. Good value for money. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Misleading & incorrect website

- the first picture on the website shows a nice view on the bay with a swimming pool, the pool you see on the picture is the pool of the neighbors!! The actual pool is located about 10 min uphill climbing away from the hotel.
- website says they have an one-site bar, not correct. If you are lucky you can order someting to drink at the reception. We wanted to enjoy the sunset at 9PM (August) but could order nothing after 8PM, which is a real pitty.
- website says they have a 24-hour front desk, this is a bluntly lie. Depending on availability of personnel it open until 8PM or 10PM. If you plan to arrive later make sure to call in advance because you will find nobody and you can spend the night somewhere else. If you try to call nobody answers the phone.
- there is no ATM or hairdresser at the property as mention on the website
- we had 2 single beds instead of a normal bed
- this is not a hotel but a two block appartment with no elevator, ...
- there is parking for 10 cars for a hotel that can host 120 people. Parking in front of the hotel is not free. We got a ticket :-(
- when we pointed out that the website was misleading and not correct, the owner became mad. Very unprofessional behavior. Wondering if he ever run a hotel before.
- breakfast is not worth 10 Euro.
Excellent 3* downtown hotel
rfroidevauxon 20/07/2017 17:07Nice and refreshed superior room with a small sea view balcony. The economic rooms however looked pretty old.
The location is perfect, being in the downtown and next to all attractions.
The big plus of this hotel is definitely the swimming pool, with a stunning view on the bay !! Go there even if you don’t have your swim suit, just to enjoy :-)
The free parking is quite small and you might not be able to find a car place since the late afternoon ...
Value for money.
Jos Non 11/07/2017 19:18Pros: Nice large clean renovated room (main building, 202) Balcony with super view on the sea. Stable wifi. Large flat screen. Large bath room with bath. Silent airco. Swimming Pool 100 meters from hotel with super view on mountains and the sea.
Cons: Shower in bath. Basic breakfast. Limited car parking
