Breathtaking view from Hotel
lipikaJainon 01/08/2017 07:08One of the biggest advantage of this hotel, is its strategic location. It's at a elevated height as compared to any other hotel in Kalpa, with an amazing view of the Kinnar Kailash mountains, surrounded by apple orchards. This breathtaking view can be experienced from the rooms & from the common areas in the hotel. Also the hotel is at a short distance away from the small Kalpa town/village, so feels more in nature.
We stayed in room no. 901, its a corner room with a balcony & is considered the best room. Its in the new block, very spacious, decent bathroom.
We had reached there late afternoon and the staff were gracious enough to cook us hot lunch and serve it in our room.
The varieties, size & colour of rose's in the centre courtyard is stunningly beautiful. There is a huge open terrace which is popular place for guests to hang out & enjoy the amazing view all around as well as for star gazing at night.
The soul of the place is however the manager of this place, Anil Purohit. He runs this place as if its is own & takes care of the guests with utmost sincerity & genuine effort, be it groups of Russian bikers wanting their pop sodas or traditional families from South India preferring their cuisine.
He packed us on request, some sandwiches, during busy breakfast hours, for our long drive from Kalpa to Tabo which held us in good stead as there are hardly any entries on the treacherous drive towards Spiti Valley.
Overall a good experience!
Great new rooms excellent views
975garryhon 22/07/2017 12:53Stayed here for 2 nights on a motorbike trip through the Himalayas and I was impressed. Ask for a new room they are a good size, have good views and good bathrooms with good shower pressure and hot water (rare in India).
The restaurant is ok, foods ok and tasty and the staff are friendly and quick. Breakfast and dinner are both good with many choices.
The rooftop decks a great spot for a drink and even has a fire pit that the staff will light for you if you ask.
It's about a 20 minute drive to town down some winding roads but mostly all sealed so not much gravel. Internets slow but that's not a big issue when you're on holiday.
Best place to stay at kalpa.
megha hon 21/07/2017 15:19Kinner Villa is the best place to stay when visiting kalpa.
The staff is friendly and ready to provide you with the best service. Cleanliness, food, rooms and even surrounding are amazing.
This is my personal experience with Kinner Villa.
No view, stinky bathrooms even if its one night
Aiyapson 01/07/2017 08:23After three stays at HPTDC next door, someone recommended this, please avoid. One has to step out for a view, the bathrooms have no ventilation & one of my friends actually got bitten by bugs.
The staff are just too good but then, thats the case throughout the Himalayas, so no real points there
Beautiful Property with Spectacular Mountain Views
Khushnaz80on 29/06/2017 13:12We were a group of five people who stayed here for one night 19-20 June 2017, en route from Sangla to Tabo.
We were given rooms overlooking the stunning Kinner Kailash range. Rooms were very modern, clean, large and extremely comfortable. Soap and towels were provided. There was a balcony outside the room where one could sit and admire the mountains.
Staff were good too, if a bit disorganised. Dinner service was slow, since they had a number of groups and it took time for the food to come to the table. Food, however, was very good, and they also served a non-veg dish on request. Clean drinking water was provided. It would be better if they set up a buffet to streamline the food service, rather than serve each table individually.
The staff were also kind enough to pack up some cheese sandwiches for us for breakfast, since we had an early start the next day.
The property is beautiful, with multiple rose bushes and flowers all around, as well as a large terrace from which to admire the scenery.
Overall, a very nice place - all they need to improve upon is the food service, which will ensure prompt and efficient service, freeing up the staff's time for other tasks.
