Stinking service in a literary sense!
Masia Mon 29/11/2016 21:14When I reported of a broken door lock( confirmed by another hotel personnel), 'Empfangsleiterin' said so shamelessly: 'ALL the door locks are the same, no one can lock the door from inside'.
When I finally got myself another room with a functioning door lock I asked her why she would make up such a lie. She couldn't say much.
Not only the behavior of the receptionist in charge was unacceptable, but this hotel also has HUGE SANITARY ISSUES: unusably dirty coffee pot, stinky fridge, animal barn-like stinky room. simply sub-standard.

Maybe this hotel need to be refresh for the decoration and the size of the bed.

holidaysswadlincoteon 27/07/2016 09:47We travelled from England, and met up with our German based family at this well run hotel. The staff are polite, efficient, and spoke both German and English which was great for us as we speak no German, although our family do. The hotel is clean, has comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, towels, etc. and the rooms are cleaned daily. As it is in a courtyard area, the views from the room windows overlook other buildings or the courtyard, but then, you are not there to look out the window! There is plenty of parking places too.The breakfast was included in the special package of 109 Euros per person for our 3 night stay in July, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) there was plenty of (buffet type run choice) from juices, cereals, fruits, eggs, bacon, breads, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, cakes, jams, plenty of tea, coffee upon request. So you can have as much as you can eat! Again the staff are very efficient making sure that the choices are always there for the guests to enjoy.
The hotel is near to an excellent tramway into the city, very reasonably priced at
9.80 euros for a group day ticket, so you can hop on and off the trams as you please, for instance, we visited the old Town Hall, where you can go right to the top and the view is great. We also went to the Herrenhausen Gardens where you can get a joint ticket for 13 euros and includes the Sea Life Centre. The gardens are so beautiful, and the sea life centre very informative so well worth a visit. We also went to into the main centre of Hannover which has lots of shops and plenty of places to eat and drink.
The only thing I would say about the Hotel is that there is a big flight of stairs from the car park up to the hotel reception, which one of our party found difficult to manage due to a walking difficulty, although I think that there are ground floor rooms and an underground parking area, which may be able to access, though we didn't know this when we booked, perhaps the hotel should mention this on their details. All in all we had a great time, and would recommend staying in Hannover and at this hotel.
Aged but more than adequate
schartwigon 22/05/2016 23:27This hotel is located in a quiet courtyard off a main street, is a short walk to tram, post office and a couple of little restaurants. The lobby is up one outside flight of stairs, and an elevator up another 4 or so steps. There is a morning breakfast room at extra cost which we did not use, and there is a full bar which the office clerk manned when needed. The room is clean, 50s-ish with built-in style headboard and armoire, nicely made up. The bathtub is round-bottomed and requires an abundance of caution. Otherwise, the front office staff was friendly, efficient, helpful in toting luggage up and down outside steps. The price was right, although it is expected that rates would be much higher during Hannover Messe trade fair.
