OMMPOon 04/07/2017 20:21Small and dirty rooms, some of them are open into an old plaza building (no windows to outside, no fresh air...) the TV is smaller than my phone but older than me...
One of the employees was unbelievably arrogant with us, I hope the hotel will fire this "lady" We would stay here 4 nights but after 2 nights we leave, of course no money back...
The city center is about 60-70 min...
Don't knock Die Kubrat!
Никола Мon 19/10/2014 12:40My wife and I spent two weeks at the Kubrat. The hotel is not flash by any means, but the price is great for decent accommodation located right in the center of Berlin. Literally meters away from Checkpoint Charlie and Potsdamer Platz you will not find a cheaper priced hotel in this great location. The room was spacious and clean, with free wi-fi, a tv with some English language channels and most importantly a mini fridge to store sweet, sweet German bier purchased conveniently from Kaiser's across the road. One thing that might put people off is the noise from outside when the windows are open. It's always busy, so if your a light sleeper this may pose a problem. Luckily I sleep heavy :-)
There's a pizzeria opposite the lobby, and a metro station is within walking distance. I highly recommend Kubrat if your staying in Berlin.

Shira Gon 31/08/2014 04:48We checked in and then we found out that they mixed up with the type of the room we ordered. And apperantly the room that we asked for they said will be avialable only a day before we will leave. So we won't go back to this hotel. Allthough it's really nice.
rude manners
petsamone ton 03/06/2014 10:30I am sure they are still in business due to the great location and affordable cheap stay.The staff was just absolutely rude. If you do not look like you have $$$$ do not expect a friendly greeting! Would never stay here if it was even free.
Shabby, but ok for the price and location.
Ida Don 14/12/2013 00:16We rented an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room. We had a lot of room, but the standard was not too good. It felt very shabby. The sofa had a hole, the bathtub was stained and they forgot to give us soap until the last day. The room smelled from cigarette smoke when we arrived. Ok for the price and good location though.
