Check In Process was smooth. Mr. Dashrath Singh was very co-operative. I didnt had enough cash. He processed my check-in without any money and paid him via NEFT which he received after 3 days of my stay. Excellent support by Kumbha Palace Team.

Basic but lovely, medieval and romantic
karian_tbon 05/05/2017 05:50Kumbha Palace was quite an experience. The rooms are pretty basic but clean and the staff is bright and helpful. The rooftop has on one side the Palace of the Maharadja of Udaipur, who still lives there. They serve a good breakfast and it is pretty central to the lake with its beautiful Lake Palace. Was a cheap and pleasant stay there. Recommended for backpackers and low budget travellers.
its a different era
avikmukherjeeDelhion 28/05/2016 11:09stay there alone. Its like experiencing a different are of Indian (rajasthani) history. This place is bit far from the Udaipur city but very beautiful.
If you are visiting Udaipur, then you must visit there once
Quaint no-frills place
GoWrongon 23/05/2016 12:05Its a bag packers dream. An absolute value for money. Lies very close to the lake and lot of other tourist destinations. Kitchen is decent. I was there on a rainy day and enjoyed the quietude of the place. Staff is courteous and friendly.
Quaint, homey place
Ayetheanton 22/04/2016 17:04Kumbha Palace is reasonably priced- i paid 700 for a double room with a view of the garden. The room was pretty basic but airy, with good light; very cosy and home-like. It is walking distance from all the sights but is tucked away in one of the main streets in a quiet bungalow. There is a roof top restaurant which serves pretty good food and beers. There is a quaint garden in front where you can have breakfast. Since we travelled in winter, lounging about at breakfast was fun. Best part: they have a tortoise in the garden that used to sneak out for a bit of sun every morning. The receptionist/caretaker is a friendly, helpful man. The place is v ery safe and should be ideal for solo travellers.
