rka86on 09/11/2016 17:53The photos and description are nothing like the hotel in reality. I would warn any holiday maker not to stay here.
The room is completely different to the management provided photos on here and other sites. It is unrecognisable.
The bedding was filthy. We asked for this to be changed and two staff swapped it for an even dirtier sheet! Sheets and towels were stained with fresh dirt (including blood? Stains). We didn't dare use the pillows or the duvet, which were stained black and brown. We saw the mattress which was rotten foam, held together with tape.
There is no running water (not hot or cold) in the en suite bathroom, which was filthy.
We are used to budget hotels, we can make do without hot water etc some days in India, however the attitude of the staff in this hotel made their incompetence all the more insulting. They played music until 4am in the lobby, kicked the doors rather than knock, and walked into rooms without speaking or looking at guests.
Some training and massive investment is well over due. I don't believe the positive reviews on here to be genuine.
Had it not been the middle of the night, we'd have left immediately, however we were a bit stranded, so didn't sleep, wash, eat, etc, until we could leave.
A very poor representation of what's possible in budget travel in India.

Lloydmanion 06/03/2016 11:35Hi Guys, By Stating this terrible stay is not enough to convey my worst stay ever. I pre-booked Deluxe room on this hotel a day in advance. When i approached reception, i was surprised that is that hotel or ICU ward why because i felt such bad ambiance.
Furthermore, when i enter my DELUXE room, i was so surprised that no one can make the room so dirty and named this room as DELUXE room.
Guys, please avoid staying in this hotel.

sathesmadhuon 17/07/2014 19:40Travellers aware....... Don't go by the glossy pictures on internet. All photos are taken at the time of inauguration. No ventilation in rooms. Horrible linens and carpet. It shoukd be delisted from Trip advisory site...
Good Functional place
Pramila-umakanton 10/12/2013 07:50the hotel is very well located new police lines. The lobby is big and we maintained. The rooms are big in size and attached to a very good bathroom. The room service is very prompt and staff is very well behaved. Food is good. tranport department is very good and services are excellent.It is a very good budget hotel at Amritsar.
