Surprised by the excellent facilities

A perfect piece of luxury. Did not realise there was a spa and pool so sadly had not brought swimming gear. I will next time. The car park is also heaven sent and allows one to relax. Very friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant is superb and well worth its Michelin recognition.

Stayed for two nights and the staff were extremely helpful when we had a problem with the car. Pool and spa were very relaxing as we had it to ourselves. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with freshly squeezed juice. Rooms were spacious, air conditioned and really comfy. Would stay again!

Lovely facilities if hotel isn't very busy

Lovely rooms (first floor nicer than ground floor). Small swimming pool but had a current at one end to swim against. Jacuzzi only tepid. Lovely sauna and steam room. One treadmill and bike but good quality. 1 min walk from Aquarium. Building work being undertaken at aquarium so a little noisy in the room during the day. Beach very close. Parking is on the street so is luck of the draw. About 15 min walk into the centre where the better restuarants are to be found. Reception staff very friendly

Just returned from a night stay . The first time we visited this hotel was about 12 years ago and we have been returning on and off ever since although we haven't been this time for about 3 years , I was surprised and delighted to find nothing has changed this hotel is like and old jumper it's warm and friendly . Although the basics are still the same the general cleanliness and decoration are very good . The hotel staff are friendly and really helpful . Our room was comfortable and very clean although a little dated . We only had breakfast but what we had was delicious and fresh and there is a good choice . There are building works just across the road from the hotel which go on until next year we were not informed of this when booking so be warned . It is noisy and very dusty . Would I recommend this hotel yes I would but if you want peace and quiet wait till the building work is complete . We stayed here for 2 nights .

Fancy food and close to the centre

We stayed here as businessmen for 3 weeks (weekdays). Hotel is on the sea front a kilometre from the port area. Currently building / extending an aquarium in front which will detract from hotel view but no doubt bring in business in the future. Rooms are well appointed - plush come to mind - comfortable beds & modern bathrooms. Staff are very friendly - not the best at remembering wake up calls according to one colleague. We ate there only once - it was full on haute cuisine and very good. Unfortunately it did not suit us as businessmen - we wanted something simpler and quicker - so we ate out which was fine. Boulogne is awash with good restaurants. No particular advice on rooms - ask for a large / double bed perhaps - rooms are not necessarily big but big enough - so perhaps singles might be too small. Good for a romantic weekend perhaps - if you want to be in Boulogne.
