Very nice!
EcoLogic2on 11/06/2014 07:29The staff were just the best! The room and bathroom was very spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable. There is also a tub! Breakfast was very good and if requested, you could get scrambled eggs and bacon. There is an excellent restaurant downstairs that is also run by the family called Kathrin's.
The facilities and decor are a little tired and there is no air conditioning. Not like they probably need it much, but we happened to be there during an unusual heat wave. Thank goodness the windows opened so cooling took place naturally overnight.
Wifi was very slow at times in the mornings and evenings.
Very much satisfied
RitaBaselon 19/04/2014 19:02I joined my friend who stayed for an entire week. Me also, I will give a great rating to this place. After a hard trip I feld warmly welcomed. The restaurant offers specialites on their menu card, a great kitchen, very friendly service. Cosy atmosphere.
Most wonderful
Yarroon 29/12/2011 14:08We stayed at this hotel many years ago and decided to spend Christsmas revisiting the region. The Hotel and restaurant have passed to Kathrin and Rolf, the daughter and son in law of the owners we recalled on our last visit. The Hotel is unprententious and the food is sublime. The family welcomed us warmly and they made our stay simply unforgettable. We skied at the great local resort HochyBrig and ate some simply incredible and creative meals cooked by Kathrin and served with a smile by the staff and family. While this is not luxury accommodation, for us it achieves legendary status due to the food, people and location. If you are looking for great food, a classical Swiss alpine village and some of the most genuine people in the world, Hotel Rosslipost is for you.
Nice rooms, excellent kitchen!
lj_vijgef16on 12/08/2011 13:41Typical Swiss gasthof with superfriendly staff. Even though the rooms could use a more up to date interior, it will provide you with a very comfortable stay. Bathrooms are well equipped with fullsized bathtubs and a shower with a special kind of "wake-up light" :-) Breakfast buffet is great with lots of fresh products and homemade cereals. The WiFi access is still a bit unreliable, but who really cares if you're in such a beautiful region?
Restaurant is pretty amazing. Kathrin's cooking is well known in the region and she serves some mouthwatering, Michelin-star worthy dishes. The bar is stocked with almost every possible local schnapps and also with some rare and exclusive ports, whiskies and cognacs. It's a real feast to stay in landgasthof Rosslipost!
Great place in the Hoch-Ybrig Mountains
Guinnguyon 29/05/2009 16:08I was in Zurich for work trip. I ended up spending the first two nights (weekend) in the town of Unteriberg. Stayed at landgasthof Rosslipost and Skied at Hoch-Ybrig. This was about an hour and twenty minute drive from the Zurich Airport.
The accommodations were great. Perfect for a ski weekend. The same family has owned the place for 50 years. I met the parents who were the original owners and now the Daughter and Son in law who currenly manage it. They helped us with anything we needed. Couldn't have been happier with their service. Breakfast and a 4 course dinner were included with the room. The food was fantastic.
Skiing at Hoch-Ybrig was reasonably priced and we were lucky enough to have a couple of bright sunny days so it warmed up nicely.
If you have a couple of days extra in Zurich and want to stay in the mountains without driving to far I would recommend this area. Plus the entire time I worked in Zurich it was cloudy and gray. In the mountains your above the cloud layer so it's very sunny.
Below is the link to Rosslipost. I have also include the link to bable fish to convert from German to English. That was very helpful in doing the research for this area.
