A WELCOMING HOTEL IN AN ATTRACTIVE AREA OF FRANCE
GJexplorerson 05/07/2017 14:08My wife and I recently stopped at this hotel for six nights on a Shearings holiday and were very pleased.
What stood out was the friendliness of the manageress and her staff. They all made us so welcome. Our bedroom was comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. The breakfasts were good, with a wide range of food to choose from. The evening meals were usually a three-course set meal, well cooked and presented, but on a special evening there were more courses.
A special mention too for Mark our coach driver, who knew the area well and was able to keep us well-informed. He also seemed to know all the best places to park so we were always close to the attraction we had come to see.
Finally a word for the area. The Auvergne must be France's best kept secret.. The volcanic landscape and picturesque villages are very special.
Good hotel
Carol Ron 30/06/2017 18:13We have just visited as part of a tour to the area. Welcoming staff and owner. Large clean rooms and bathroom. Good selection for breakfast. We had set menu at dinner and would have liked another choice. That said everything else was fine.
Convenient stop over
Andy Ton 29/05/2017 19:19The hotel is located on the edge of town and has decent rooms, parking, and friendly staff. It has a pool but this doesn't open until June and a restaurant which was only of average for France albeit the cheese board was excellent.
Quite comfortable
Julia Won 02/12/2016 16:26The hotel is suffering from road works being done outside. This must be difficult to live with, and is making parking and access a problem for the moment. It was going to close completely for the weekend after we left, and unsurprisingly the reception staff seemed rather detached and unforthcoming. Our bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. For our taste the decor was not very restful, with large panels of orange and some hectic art work. The hotel restaurant Is large and with attractively laid tables, and the meal was well cooked if not particularly interesting. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice, and there the morning staff seemed brighter and more welcoming.
Good clean comfortable room and good location for work
Josephine Gon 24/11/2016 22:07Pariou hotel is conveniently located next to my business meeting and to a walking distance to the nice Issoire town, where you find good restaurants and some nice shops. The room was clean, big, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast is complete and ok. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Would recommend.
