Very central location and very good free wi-fi. That's all you'll get. Beyond that, this is a very basic hotel that's reminiscent of past decades. Good value and very close to restaurants, cafes and the Cognac houses. Limited breakfast and services, suitable only for short business stays. Make sure you don't get a room overlooking the carpark, due to the noise problem.

I more or less expected what we got.
A very dated, low key hotel, with rooms and facilities to match.
It was clean however, but the a/c was a token guesture in our room, not unless it was turned off or broken ?
We did take advantage of the safe, secure parking to the rear of the hotel, which was charged at 6 euros.
As correctly stated in previous reviews, the hotels strongest asset is its proximity to the local bars and restaurants, which are at the top of its road.
Cognac:
It was our first time of visiting. There is a nice sprinkling of bars and restaurants around the main island, which is busy and noisy with traffic. We also found an Indian restaurant.
A full day and night here would most probably be adequate.

This hotel is in a good location in the centre of town, and is friendly and clean.
But, I was asked to stay in a building over the road from the hotel (which seems to be part of the hotel but is a little odd) and my experience was that the room was fine to sleep in but otherwise extremely plain. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the shower good, but nothing more.
Breakfast in the hotel was also rather simple, and the bar for evening drinks was nothing more than an annexe to reception.
I'd stay here again as a place to sleep, but I wouldn't be wanting to spend time here during the day. It's not that interesting.

Located a very short walk from the centre of the delightful town of Cognac. Secure parking is provided at the rear of the hotel at a very reasonable €10 per day.
Reception staff were polite and professional. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. No milk in the room for hot drinks which was fine as when I went down to see the night porter at 10 O'clock he refused to give me any tea bags anyway...!! Only One tea bag, one sachet of coffee and one sachet of decaf coffee was provided...?? In a double room.
Breakfast was basic but palatable.
As a one or two night stopover it was ideal.

Spacious and airy rooms. Missed that there was a shower wall in the bathtub.
The reception seems a bit worried out, and the breakfast was a little inadequate
Nice and helpful personnel. Great location.
