Ideal stopover
Stuartsteadon 18/10/2013 21:23We were on a motorbike tour of the alps and stopped here for 1 night in October. We were the only ones booked into the hotel (another couple on a bike arrived later and stayed the night and a trucker ate in the restaurant, so 4 people in the hotel and 5 for dinner).
Location for us was ideal as it is easy to find and in the area around Gap that we had planned the start of out days out riding around the Alps. Friendly welcome and a couple of beers as we relaxed after the ride and then checked out the rooms. Looks as if they have not long been renovated and fresh, clean but nothing out of this world. For a 1 night stay it did all we required of it, not sure what it would be like if the hotel was busy and noisy though.
We stayed half board and the meal was good, small cold meat starter and then local produce and duck for main then i had cheese while the wife had a dessert.
Overall, price was right for the hotel and food and although would maybe look elsewhere if i was with the wife in this area, for maybe a trip with a club etc and requiring multiple rooms i would put it first on the list to check for availability.
There is also a cafe/bar and a very large parking area so good for a break or lunch as well if you were passing. Biker friendly, we put our two bikes under the covered terrace for the night along with the bike of the other couple who arrived later.
A very friendly hotel
David Ton 03/10/2013 15:29Owner is welcoming friendly and fun, we had a pleasant bedroom with a good firm bed. The restaurant offers regional dishes cooked beautifully. It's our second stay at the hotel and I know we will return. Amazing scenery in this area. Well worth a visit.
