What People are saying

budget friendly & lovely

Davina Ton 24/07/2017 06:18

The hotel doesn’t have the best appearance from the street front and you wonder oh well!
But wait until you have entered, greeted by the staff and get to your room.
The hotel is worth every bit the money you have paid for- maybe even more.
It does fall under the budget category, however the rooms are well equipped (might just miss a kettle and fridge – but if you are going to be around town the whole day not something that you would miss) and extremely comfortable!
The breakfast spread is stellar and the dining on the outdoor deck is just lovely!
I highly recommend this hotel for any one on a mid-budget yet wanting an extremely comfortable stay!

Good value for money

Pluses:

*good breakfast
*terrace with plants (a pleasant view while having breakfast)
*helpful staff
*nice restaurants nearby - Italian food and and a Korean ( I think?)
Disadvantages:
*noisy (at times)

Overall, the experience was pleasant.

Wonderful stay

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the city centre (easy to get to if traveling by car without too much traffic hassle). Parking at the rear, of which they'll give you a parking permit, so doesn't cost you anything. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a very different story. Reception staff were lovely and check in/out was very simple. Free wifi and breakfast! Rooms were a lovely size, well furnished and pleasant ambience to it. If you're staying on the road side of the building it can seem quite noisy during the day but (if the windows are closed) the noise at night isn't so bad, although you'll still get your odd sirens and screeching tyres. There are plenty of nice pubs/bars/restaurants nearby. Bit of a walk to the city centre but luckily a tube station (U-bahn) nearby to travel quickly. Lovely city with lots to see and do. There was a lot to offer at breakfast. It's a wonderful hotel, but knocked down to a 4/5 because of the traffic noise and because of the thin walls, hearing conversations of people next door and across the hall all evening isn't ideal.

Great hotel on Hermannplatz

This hotel was a really good find. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once in the reception on the second floor it's clear that it's a good budget hotel. The check-in process was great, we learnt to our surprise that breakfast was included and that turned out to be very good. The room was spacious and comfortable. Our only minus point was that it was very hot when we stayed and there's no air conditioning. We tried sleeping with the windows open but as faced the street it was too noisy. However we'll certainly stay here again.

Great breakfast. Good service. Nice hotel

Overall, we had a nice experience at the Ludwig Van Beethoven. The location is good. From here, you are about a half dozen stops on the U-Bahn from the areas a tourist will want to visit in the center city. The staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Best of all, the complimentary breakfast was excellent with a large number of offerings in a German style (with a few extras). Our family was very happy with this, and the only disappointment was that we were never able to score a table on the shaded patio. The only negative to this hotel is that it was quite hot on our visit to Berlin, and the room was pretty stuffy.
