Sawantwadi is about 100 kms from Belagavi. We went in our own vehicle. Journey is through Western Ghat. All the way it is very scenic. On the way once a beautiful hill station is getting crowded and is very much dirtied by the revelers. After Amboli there is a water fall on the main road itself which comes to life during season and it is lovely. Further down nearer Sawantwadi about 10 t015 kms earlier there is SAI BABA TEMPLE about 1 km interior in the Cashew Orchard (whatever you call) The place is very serene. we felt the soul of Sai Baba has shifted from Shirdi.(Personal opinion). Since Sawantwadi close to sea shore it is very humid and sultry. There is lake in the mid city. It is like a jewel in the crown. There is a old palace by the side of the lake. There is small entry fee to see to get in. There is a small museum which has rare collections. There is a Khadi Bazaar by the lake side where one can buy some curios in wood and metal at a reasonable price. Do not forget to taste Sawantwadi famous sweet made from jaggery. Few kms away are 2 beautiful beaches ( Shiroda & Vengurla) Hope this suffices.

Hotel is Fine but Food is Very Bad

Don't Go here if You love to eat some good food, If you are ok only with Accommodation, You don't want a very good Room Service facility here than you must select this hotel otherwise no you will feel something like cheated after residing here.

I was in Mango 2 .I was in suit but not at all service providing as per suite has getting.It was very worst experience. No Telephone service.No staff grooming. No food quality .And charges was more than others hotel.But not at all service.DON'T RECOMMEND THIS KIND OF HOTEL MANGO 2.JUST LIKE A

Functional hotel with quiet rooms

There are two Mango hotels in Sawantwadi. We stayed in the older Mango 1, in the deluxe ac room and found it to be comfortable, quiet. We were told that Mango 2 is like a government hotel and should be avoided. The housekeeping staff at Mango 1 was quick to respond to our requests and the reception was helpful in arranging our travel requirements, etc. Overall, a good experience.

Quite bad food

Though I didn't stay at this hotel, we came to hotel for lunch... Though hotel good options but what we ordered turn out to be a quite a bad taste. Never in my life ever had sweet Veg Kolhapuri. Service was quick but quality and taste were not at all good...
