Nice hotel in season
RobChesteron 17/05/2017 14:56This is a very nice hotel and the owners are very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and I cannot fault the room. I would imagine Saas Fee is a very pleasant village when it is open and the surrounding mountains are superb.
We booked this hotel through Booking.com and at no time were we informed that the hotel and town are actually shut in May! We were the only guests in the hotel and appeared to be the only people in the town. There were no shops open. We had to spend the night in our room watching TV.

The staff here were so welcoming and made our daughter feel very special. I unfortunately became poorly mid way through our holiday and they were very sweet in offering medicine and letting us take up food to our room.
Very caring and fun staff.
The food was just superb. Really beautifully presented and tasted delicious. They catered for our very fussy daughter and for me as a veggie.
The room was clean and well equipped. Location was very convenient and the town is alot bigger than we were expecting. We are already thinking about our next visit.
Second time's a charm!
Slingy1968on 08/03/2017 12:36This was our second visit to Hotel Marmotte and third to Saas Fee. We're now already planning our ski trip next February. Martin and Anett are great hosts who really look after their guests in a friendly personal way. The hotel is cosy, warm and really comfortable after a day on the slopes. The hotel boot room and room by Alpine Express are really handy and make your skiing adventures really straight forward.
Highly recommended - we're already planning our next trip which speaks volumes!
A Relaxed locals hotel with great food

The menu was great with a very unique combination of traditional and asian.very much an individual chef's approach.A great choice.The wine menu was fantastic with at least 12 "open bottles".Fantastic if you like a decent wine but don't want to buy a bottle.All of the staff were great.The rooms were tidy and clean.Bathrooms were slightly on the basic side.
A very quite location and a great nights sleep. I will go back.
p.s. remember your wife's date of birth if she's not with you!

rotorfishon 06/07/2016 20:27Why have I missed Saas-Fee? Free post bus travel and free cableway on 7 routes! The Marmotte was an excellent hotel with excellent staff. Cheerful and friendly, they went out of their way to advise and be helpful. Good food, clean and with an excellent view and location it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in after 23 visits to the Swiss Alps.
