A Man Lost in Time Near Kadewe
Keithydeboon 09/08/2017 01:352nd time in Berlin, 4 nights, U2 in Concert and needed a place to lay our heads. We wanted somewhere close to Kadewe and Zoo Station, this little gem is hidden away in the South West side of Berlin. When we say 'gem' I refer to value for money. £130 for 4 nights we got a spacious room, cleaned daily with new sheets and a decent sized bathroom with shower and a location which made everything easily accessible, everything's easily accessible in Berlin. Add in free wifi and a free secure safe, it was really good value.
The staff were courteous, helpful when needed and not intrusive, which we like. For a cosmopolitan European City like Berlin, we always only want somewhere comfy to sleep with easy access to the places we want to see. This is what the Metropolitan offered, as well as Becks Beer for 2.50 Euros, cheaper than most pubs!
You could pay through the nose for a city centre hotel but why when this little character can give you what you need for half the price and leave you with money to spend seeing Berlin
A weekend in Berlin
matthiassH9469THon 20/07/2017 12:00This place is good for a short trip to Berlin as it is well located in the western part of the city. You can easily walk to the Ku'damm and go shopping there. But also public transport is nearby to go and see the other parts of the city. It is a typical business hotel with people staying there are mostly business people. Breakfast was ok because it was very crowded in the restaurant and we had to wait and queue too often.

We were given a 4th floor room which had a small balcony facing the street. This place was fine and good value for money. It was very close to underground stations and there was a small supermarket just across the main crossroads. We didn't eat at the hotel.
The room was spacious, clean enough and the bathroom was good. The room was quiet and the noise from the main road wasn't a problem. Hotel staff were ok and allowed an early check in which was great.
If you are trying to keep costs down but stay in somewhere decent enough, I would recommend this hotel.
First stay, not the best
Bexandcoon 30/06/2017 15:24It was my first time at this hotel and the welcome was awful. I found the male staff member rude and not very welcoming or informative. Simple things like a smile would be nice! The room itself was ok, fine for one night but not any longer. The bathroom was ok and clean but the room itself had a dirty feel to it. With the staff attitude it just wasn't the best and I was glad to checkout the following morning. Felt a bit dingdy and the corridors to the rooms... watch your footing. Steps up and down, like a rat run! Location wise a 5 min walk from the u station, nice and quiet street yet not far from the shopping plaza with many nice restaurants and bars.

Andreas2012on 23/05/2017 13:51Well, 4 stars may be to much for a hotel where the breakfast is not included and it's not superfresh with the old carpets and a cheap pillow. But for that kind of money and great location then it's well worth the money. If they could keep that price then we will be back next time we are in Berlin.
