Best Hotel in Takasaki
razamataz513on 24/04/2017 21:29I've stayed with the Metropolitan several times. The location is perfect, it's within the train station so it's the shortest distance when you get off the Shinkansen. At least one of the front desk staff spoke English. Rooms are bigger (but not by a lot) than most Japanese business hotels, so this is a luxury. Other co-workers have also stayed at the Coco Grand. These two are the most 'American Friendly' hotels in Takasaki.
Ideal location
markyandlouiseon 19/04/2017 21:28Room was clean and tidy, but not the biggest I have been. OK for business but not great for a family. There were even some rooms for smokers. The hotel was great for the station and was in a good location for the local restaurants.
Good hotel for business visit
Family_travelling972on 04/08/2016 01:04Good comfortable hotel, actually located within the train station complex. Rooms quite small, but larger than some in hotels in Japan ! Breakfast is poor in hotel, so would recommend eating outside - there are lots of options in the train station.
Nice hotel to stay
Gerokoon 02/07/2016 20:23Location is very good close to a lot of restaurant. Rooms are clean en relax but small like any other Japanese hotel. Breakfast is Ok for European guests. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on upper levels thus nice view over Takasaki.
Great location in Gunma
LevAguson 12/11/2015 08:51I stayed here for three nights and everything was good. It is located within the Takasaki station west exit. Below the hotel was the mall which is another plus. Restaurants, shops and convenient stores are easily within your reach. the room was an average for Japanese hotels - Not too spacious but well organized. The lobby is also great. You can stay there if you need more space if you have to do some work. A coffee shop is also within 3 mins walk. The food and service was excellent. If you have to be in Gunma via tokyo, you can book this hotel. You can take the airport bus from haneda to takasaki station. The travel time is almost three hours.
Definitely a recommended hotel. thumbs up.
