Rooms are very old, no one cleaned below the bed, for a very long time.

The hotel has a nice foyer area, but it's all down hill from there. The hotel strongly caters for weddings and the foyer and first 3 floors are all banquet rooms, wedding preparation rooms, etc.

Our room had a strong smell of smoke.

We booked two nights, but had to extend by one night, which we advised them of when we arrived. However, they wouldn't let us keep our room - we had to change rooms for our last night's stay. It was bizarre, because the hotel was not full and we had a standard room. On the Monday, when we had to change rooms, I went to reception and again asked if we could keep our room. The woman got a calculator out and advised me that we could keep our rooms (two rooms, as we were travelling with another family) if we paid 53,000 yen, so we moved.

We needed a knife to cut up some vegetables, but the hotel staff refused to give me one, explaining that it was 'danger' to provide knives, so we had to buy our own.

The rooms were ok, apart from the smell - while they were small, they were clean with western style beds. Please note there is hardly any storage room, so we didn't unpack our suitcases, which was annoying.

The location is great, close to the station, and close to Aeon, a great shopping complex. There is a type of supermarket/deli there with the most amazing high-quality selection of pre-made meals. So we had two nights where we just bought our dinner (and alcohol!) from there and ate in our hotel room.

It's also close to lots of restaurants.

Good for its price. Nice lobby, very friendly reception, English spoken. Room (non-smoking) was clean. Around 5 min walk from AEON mall (where there's loads of food/shopping), and another 5 min walk to the JR station. They probably picked up their game considering the other reviews

I am currently staying at this hotel. If you do not speak Japanese, the English is almost non-existent. Room smelled of smoke even though I requested non-smoking,air conditioner is only a fan, there was a black hair on the sheet when I pulled the covers back. The only positive was the free bicycle (although not properly serviced). I would give this one a miss!

Worn and smokey smell

We had high hopes upon finding the hotel and entering the very nice lobby. We had asked for a non-smoking room but our room definately smelled of smoke. The hotel was full so we were stuck with the room. The couch was worn, even had a hole in the upholstery. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice and they provided robes. About a 7 - 10 min. walk from the station. There is a shuttle. The staff was very nice and there is a bakery with a 'breakfast set' across the street.
