The hotel is very well located. The dalai temple is at a walking diatance. The maoin attractions of Mcleodganj are near to the hotel.
The hotel is quite clean and the budget is not very high. Cleanliness was good. Sleep quality also good.

Beautiful view but got moved to another room

Ann Mon 14/06/2017 09:23

We spent our first three nights on the third floor with a beautiful view of the mountains, a spacious room with a small sofa and table, and a lovely balcony. The bed was rather hard, but the view and nice room more than made up for it. When we made our reservation a month before, we were told that a "Superior Double bed private Ensuite" room was available for all four nights, so this is what we booked and what was written on our receipt. However, upon our arrival, we were told that we had to change rooms the last night because other guests were coming. We were quite surprised, as we had a confirmation for ALL four nights in this room, so we had booked our room before these "other guests". We considered saying, "No, we made the reservation for this room first, so we shouldn't have to move." However, we decided to just go along with the hotel, as we didn't want to put a damper on the mood or screw up our relationship with the two men who staffed the place. We expected to at least get a refund for the fourth night since we'd be moved to a much cheaper room, but this was not mentioned, even when we went to pay. It seemed as if they hoped we'd forgotten about the price difference... So in the end, we showed them the price difference between the rooms and asked for a refund ourselves. The last night we were in the basement in a room with one tiny window facing a cement wall, and another window above the door that brought in light from the hallway. The two men seemed to live downstairs with their families in other rooms, and they were VERY loud. Plus they left the hall light on for hours with light streaming into our room. Needless to say, neither of us slept well at all that night. I would have thought that if they were going to move us down there despite having been promised a nice room for all four nights, they would've at least tried to stay quiet for one night (it sounded they were rearranging all the furniture in the basement rooms and the lobby at 10:00 at night...) I was very disappointed that they were dishonest like that. I'm pretty sure that what they did wasn't only dishonest, but illegal too... So the rooms with a view are quite nice, but make sure that they don't change your room after you make your reservation!!! And if they try to make you change rooms from what you were promised and paid for, then just say no, or you won't sleep a wink!

Very friendly staff

The staffs ,especially the receptionist, were super friendly. Hotel was clean. Views were good from Deluxe apartments. Price was understandable. Had a nice stay. Helped us with taxi , Trekking, etc. The main chowk is also a little bit walk from this hotel. Also if you take room no. 301 then you can watch Tiberian monks practicing Buddhism from the balcony .

A fun filled weekend

Went there with a couple of friends last week. Excellent rooms with a splendid view of the snow capped Dhauladhar range.
Make sure you get the room on the second floor for the best view.
The staff was very helpful and polite and always ready to provide a way out if there were any problems.
Great in room service of food and drinks.
All this at a very reasonable rate.
All in all, a great stay :)
