NonaKimon 11/08/2016 14:59Michel made our welcome warm and inviting even though we walked in last minute without a reservation. The town is charming and easy to walk around and enjoy the restaurants, shops and sites. Outstanding quality hotel - bedding, facilities, views, breakfast buffet and ability to pack a nice lunch for a hike. We enjoyed everything about this hotel and will stay again. Don't worry about it being in the center of town re: noise potential. The church bells stop ringing by 11pm and the place closes up tight until sunrise.
Great stay at hotel Mohren
Herwig Ion 10/12/2015 08:13We spent 3 nights at hotel Mohren 2 weeks ago. (2 adults + a 3y old child) We really did enjoy our stay. Nice, spacious room (S Deluxe), a good variation on choices for breakfast and dinner, friendly staff,... I made a call on Thursday evening (5 pm) for an arrival on Friday noon and although it was very last minute, everything was perfectly arranged. The hotel was a bit hard to find, cause located in the heart of Oberstdorf in an pedestrian zone and in front of the Oberstdorf church.
We will surely revisit the hotel for another short stay and are not affraid to reccomend it to friends and family.
Great hotel in calm and central area
karin won 31/07/2015 15:11My two sisters and I shared a large room with a double bed and a fold-out sofa. Great room, very clean and with a balcony. The breakfast is great and the hotel's café and restaurant are good places to have your afternoon cake or evening dinner. The hotel is centrally placed in the walking-only area of town. This means that the surroundings are calm - but it also means you can't take your car to the hotel and it does not offer parking. Instead you park in one of the public parking lots (which can be pretty crowded) and collect a parking ticket from the hotel.
Nice Hotel but lacking heart

Except for the one employee receiving us at the arrival, none gave the feeling of warm hospitality. The lack of attention to the guest was present throughout, especially at the F&B service. Food and rooms average.
Great hotel in the centre of town
pmd76on 02/02/2012 21:58I stayed here for a couple of nights in January and also stayed here a few years ago in summertime.
The hotel is right in the centre of the town on the main square. The 4 star rating is apparent in every aspect of the hotel. There is a large café/restaurant on the ground floor and also a spacious lounge area with free Wi-Fi.
The room was very comfortable and included a mini-stereo system with a selection of CDs.
Wi-Fi in the room was charged via a Hotspot so it’s better to sit in the lounge downstairs and enjoy it for free. The room was at the front of the building facing the square and had a large balcony, unfortunately it was too cold to sit out and enjoy the view. The only down point was that the clock on the church opposite chimes from early morning to late night; this may be a problem for light sleepers.
Breakfast was plentiful with lots of hot food, cereals, breads, cheeses and cake treats. The restaurant was a little expensive for my budget for an evening meal, but during the day it was an excellent place to enjoy a hot drink.
The hotel also offers free tickets for the local cable cars as part of the booking.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again if I return to Oberstdorf.
