Very nice hotel in central Chamonix

Great hotel. Rooms are very updated and modern while the hotel retains much of its classic architecture. Reasonably close to the Aiguille du Midi, Brevant and La Mer de Glace stations. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Pleasant staff.

Great views. Excellent service.

Stayed here for five nights with the family.
Our room (2 bedroom suite) had absolutely incredible views of the Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains.

Service at the hotel was consistently excellent.

Breakfast buffet was good (we've had better but also many worse) but a bit pricey.

Hotel location is exceptional (50 meters from main shopping street and walking distance to everywhere).

Only issue is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Was not a real issue because all the days we were there were cool (actually swam in the outside heated pool and jacuzzi in the rain - great fun), but I am sure that on hot days the supplied fans would not suffice.

Would highly recommend for a holiday stay.

Excellent location and friendly staff

This was our second stay at the hotel. We stayed at the hotel some 10 years ago and thought it would be nice to pay another visit, as we understand the hotel had been completely refurbished.

The hotel was indeed nicely renovated but we feel that something was amiss. It is a nice hotel and its staff is very very friendly and helpful, however the hotel itself is kind of bland, and it just feels like any typical 4 or 5 star chain hotels. Perhaps I had high expectations before the visit so I was somewhat let down.

Otherwise the room (prestige double room) was also quite hot and stuffy.

Breakfast was okay but not the lavish feast I remember from previous visit.

Wonderful Hotel in Great Location

My family of four stayed at the Hotel Mont Blanc for a few days at the beginning of our trip and it was a wonderful stay with a gorgeous view of Mont Blanc. We were in a 2-bedroom suite on the top corner of the hotel so we had balconies on two sides looking over to the mountains and the town. The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, the bathrooms were very well appointed and spacious, and the service at the hotel was top notch.

The concierge was happy to make dinner reservations for us, and even changed our reservations at the last minute, per our request. The housekeeping service was very good, with the turn-down service being very reliable each night. Breakfast was good -- nothing too fancy, but it was served in a beautifully designed dining space with attentive personnel. We ended up not using the pool and spa, but they gave us a tour and we would've loved to use it if we'd only had more time!

The hotel is located right in the middle of things and just a block off the pedestrian area, so it is both quiet and convenient to everything. It is situated on a hill above the pedestrian area so our room (and I would assume most of the others) get awesome views of the area. From our research on hotels in the area, this is definitely the best hotel as far as location, style, and level of service.

The two bedroom suite was perfect for families with children -- our kids (ages 16 and 9) loved the upper bedroom with their own bathroom and views. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high-end hotel stay in Chamonix, as we were not disappointed!

We stayed as part of our road trip and our room was on the fifth floor, the room was double aspect and had the most amazing views, the breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choice, and the evening meal was one on the best we tasted on our entire trip
